Const. Ken MacDonald of the New Glasgow Police Service said police will have their briefings today to determine their next course of action, but he doesn't know if any new searches will be planned for today.
CTV News spoke with storeowner Al Sutherland on Monday and he says there are three video cameras outside the store, located just a little over 200 metres from Dooly's.
He says his store closed at 11 p.m. the night Kirwan disappeared, but the cameras were still rolling.
However, Kirwan doesn't appear on any of the videos from that night.
"The only thing we've seen on the camera is the boyfriend's car where he was in our parking lot," says Sutherland.
"He was here for approximately one minute and forty seconds. And then he left."
"There was no sign of her at all on the camera. None whatsoever."
one minutes and forty second?!!?! that's all he waited???
I feel that there is a reason for releasing just bits and pieces of information at a time.one minutes and forty second?!!?! that's all he waited???
The search for Amber Kirwan in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia continued Monday.
3) Amber didn't have her cellphone with her that night...many versions as to why she left it home...she used one of her friend's cellphone to contact MC to arrange for him to pick her up. He called back (or texted?) the number Amber had called him from, which apparently was her friend Maggie according to FB (not confirmed by LE though). All this info can be found in the earlier news articles, and everything is here in this thread.1) I thought he had a suspended license and that's why he couldn't drive that night?
2) I'm terrible at analyzing maps. Was Amber walking towards Al's in the video? Could he have spotted her from Al's?
3) I thought Amber didn't have her cell phone. How would he have called her?
In an interview with CTV News, he acknowledged there were rumours circulating in the community that he may have had a hand in her disappearance.
"That's the last thing I want to hear going around. That doesn't help any bit of this situation," he said.
"You know, I loved her with all my heart. I was going to spend the rest of my life with her. When she is turned up, I will spend every single day of my life with her."

hmmm, keep in mind Archimedes is now a one-way street, so you cannot head towards Dooly's that way.So, this new information regarding the Big Al video could really be extremely telling.
If, big if, after syncing the Dooly's video time and the Big Al's video time, the Big Al's video time indicates MC was there for 1 minute 40 seconds, at say, 1:35 am, and shows his vehicle heading towards Dooly's, it seems to me, if I am intrepreting Hazel's maps properly, that it is possible that MC picked up Amber once he visually seen her, and she got in the car, in the approximate location of where the "black object" was found.
Possible or way off?
hmmm, keep in mind Archimedes is now a one-way street, so you cannot head towards Dooly's that way.
I was thinking right on Fraser St., down on Alexander St., right on George Street, right on Archimedes.
Easier to show in a MAP: http://g.co/maps/y8u5s
Also, Hazel, maybe I have this all wrong, please correct me if I do, but, isn't it possible that MC left Big Al's after 1 minute 40 seconds, drove down Provost to the intersection of Archimedes (at "C" on the map) picked Amber up, and did a u-turn to continue back up Provost?
My apologies, but I don't see the need to drive the wrong way on Archimedes, specially now that we know that the police cruise was circling that route.MOO is that any combination of driving the streets that night would be possible by MC. He was driving w/o a license, w/o insurance so clearly there is a disregard for the laws that regular law abiding citizens adhere to.
Would MC drive the wrong way on a one way street - sure IMO he would does as he does not respect the laws or else he figures he would not be taken to task for it due to possible connections.
Police said the security video of Kirwan leaving the New Glasgow Dooly's just after 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 9, which they released Friday, has resulted in a few new tips from the public
