Somewhere in my head I pray Amber was so dosed with codeine she didn't feel much :please:
Yes, I pray that, too.

She had defensive wounds on her hands, though.

Sorry, but just sayin.'

Yes, that was interesting.

They dropped it quick, but maybe other witness to come will have more to say.

Well off I go for the rest of the day. Much to catch up on. I'll pop in over the weekend to see if there is any discussion. Got to free up Monday. It will be rough but should tell us much we have not been privy too :seeya:

New Glasgow News | LATEST UPDATE: RCMP investigator describes discovery of victim's body
Published on January 10, 2014

PICTOU – Only one witness testified Friday in the first-degree murder trial of Christopher Falconer, but she had plenty to say.

Sgt. Darlene MacEachern of the RCMP’s identification unit took the witness stand early Friday morning to speak about the physical evidence she collected during the Amber Kirwan missing person and homicide investigation two years ago.

Warning: Article contains graphic testimony

A forensic investigator provided graphic testimony about the day Amber Kirwan’s body was found as she took the stand in the first-degree murder trial of Christopher Alexander Falconer.

Falconer, 31, is charged with first-degree murder in Kirwan’s stabbing death. He has pleaded not guilty to the charge.

From the link below, it is easy to see where the defense is heading to cause reasonable doubt--although I don't think they will be successful.

I have to admit I am somewhat stunned at the amount of solid forensic evidence the Crown has against Falconer. It looks to me like they should be able to get the first-degree conviction they are seeking.

However, I will always question if Falconer acted alone, imo.

Quote: Defence Attorney Mike Taylor pressed Campbell on timelines in statements given to police.

“The jury is going to have to determine how important it is to have a witness repeat over and over I can’t recall,” he says. “That can impact on how they view his evidence as a whole.”

Dear God help us all.

Poor Amber. :(

Truth Prevails, Thank-You so much for all the updates. From the bottom of my heart. You and the others have been holding down Amber's WS thread.

I followed her case since she disappeared. I am devastated by these details.

I hope her family will find some comfort in their memories of their beautiful daughter. I am just devastated by these details. :( :( :(

If anyone has just begun following the case, and is not aware of Falconer's background; here are a few articles that will be helpful.

In a decision rendered Friday, the National Parole Board agreed releasing Falconer would not pose a risk to the public.

He was 15 years old when he and his co-accused Fraser Wilson Kennedy plotted to attack and rob Pictou taxi driver Bob LeBlanc.

For $65 and a pack of cigarettes, Falconer strangled LeBlanc with a two foot long wire he'd hidden in the sleeve of his shirt while Kennedy, then aged 16, attacked the man with a hammer. LeBlanc's larynx was fractured in the attack.

The teenagers shoved LeBlanc in the trunk of his own car and then went to Falconer's home.

http://www.ngnews.ca/Justice/2008-06-11/article-320062/Cabbie-killer-gets-six-trips-out-of-jail/1

Falconer's parole was revoked in February when he was questioned by police last October for his possible involvement in what the board described as a "serious offence." The board says police found a locking blade knife, marijuana and a .22-calibre magazine containing eight rounds in Falconer's possession.

Thankfully, the violent monster is behind bars now. He should never have been let out. I can't even think about what Amber may have endured. Horrifying

BBM - Absolutely correct.

It was decided that Falconer was a very low risk to re-offend; and within 8 months of his release, this is what we see.

Whatever data they used to come to their conclusion, needs to be thrown in the garbage. :cow:

Photo respectfully linked by me - I hope this precious child is resting in peace; but I also hope she is near to see we cared enough to seek justice in her name.
