I do wish we had some clarification on the alcohol present in Ambers system. Were the levels indicating what was consumed the night she was abducted? Or what the body may naturally produce post mortem. It does appear from Bowes testimony stating he wasn't surprised Amber had drank before she died levels must have exceeded post mortem levels? How long would that alcohol stay in her system? Would it be slowed down when combined with the drugs?

I didn't know this. They even have a tweet max to contend with.

Perhaps we will get clarification on some facts later today when updates hit the papers.

Interesting points.

All but one of the girls at the party that night said they would put Amber at about a number 6--with 10 being totally inebriated.

The girl that worked at the hardware store with Amber, put Amber at 8. This is the girl that stayed the night at her apartment with the passed out boyfriend and Campbell.

I believe they said she had two drinks once at Dooly's. (They were smoking a little bit before they left, too.)

BBM - that statement seems odd to me. Maybe we'll get some more clarification from other witnesses; or even in the write-ups later--they might explain it better.

Sorry, I was typing my comment when you posted.

At least we had the same thought. :)

Anyone remember where the syringe was found? In the trailer or his car? Pondering if drugging wasn't part of the abduction. Given Amber had been drinking tho it might be a bit "easier" to force into a vehicle. I guess we will never know. Wonder what the syringe showed when tested? Perhaps that was how the morphine was given?

I'm not sure my memory is serving me correctly, but I seem to recall the syringe was found in the ditch by the side of the road?

Does anyone else remember that?

I'm making notes of these things--to look up later. If anyone is sure, please jump in.

We might hear this afternoon if it was tested.

This is just my theory--but, I think he was waiting with the duct tape in hand near the bushes by the path that leads to the next street, (where he had his car parked.)

I think he duct taped her on the path, and threw her in his car.

There hasn't been any mention of Amber's shoes, either.

He could have had her at his sister's place in less that half an hour.

This tweet from Beswick of the Chronicle Herald kind of bothers me, and I was thinking of this earlier.

Why wasn't there a great deal of blood in the trailer, or mini home?

There really should have been. I'm praying that it will still be introduced--I know they said they seized at least one blanket; a sleeping bag; a mattress pad; and I believe the mattress.

I hope we will soon hear they had been saturated in blood.

Bowes statement that lot of blood would be lost reflection on trailer where she may have been kept but not any amount of blood

Agree Truth P. we should know exactly where the murder occurred. Likely yet to come. With the amount of blood loss I cant see Falconer getting all of it. Even if he had weeks to clean up.

BBM - Sorry to quote your post twice. I found this tweet from Angela MacIvor from the CBC:

Sgt. MacEachern being asked about syringe seized down the road from where Kirwan's body was found. It was found in a nearby ditch.

Thank you.

That makes me breathe a little easier.

He certainly didn't seem to have enough sense to try to clean up much of anything.

Thanks so much and no worries. I appreciate you finding the info. Could be unrelated to the crime. Or is.

Prayers for Ambers Family and friends :please: tough day. Appears a solid case so I do predict Falconer will go to :jail: May his remaining days be as miserable as they can possibly be :banghead:

I am a lawyer (unverified so take it with a grain of salt, I guess), though not in the criminal field, and I must say I am surprised by the limited cross-examination. I have always been told that sometimes no cross in the best cross, but I am curious as to whether the defence has something in the works (i.e. a particular angle, or a specifically aggressive cross for a particular witness, etc).

No matter what, I think this guy should be in prison.

I certainly appreciate your being here and your expertise, but I hope if he has something that it is not enough to get Falconer off.
