Ldlager, thank you

I was mistaken.... BS associates wanted Desi gone, NOT JK

Desi painting himself as victim seems Elizabeth Holmes-esque

Why did JS fire JK? Suspicious (pretend suspicious?) Of him in parents'?... He couldn't have been thinking straight. Bad move for Apotex and JS

According to report today JK wanted JD to be fired due to the alleged Teva incident.

I don’t know who the Thursday visitor was, but there are plainclothes officers in unmarked cars in Toronto. The front door wasn’t unlocked, the only unlocked door was the one basement door, according to the Star.

Okay if the front door was locked, why was it reported the individual entered the house.

Also according to the Star, on Dec. 14, 2017, the man ............. appeared to enter the house through the front door, then came back outside. He did this three times, for a total of 29 minutes inside the Sherman home, before driving off.

Either he had a key or the door was not locked. Either way I do not believe he was a Police Officer.

Donovan should have added a correction to that article, imo, because in October, 2019 he said it was unclear whether the man entered the home (emphasis mine):

“Finally, a detective arrived to take a copy of the previous seven days of video just before the couple left on their trip. The couple had viewed some of the video and had noticed that on the Thursday, the day before the bodies were discovered and one day after the Shermans were last seen alive, a dark, four-door car drove west on Old Colony Road at 9:11 a.m., and parked on the street out front of the Sherman residence. They watched the grainy footage as a man got out of the car, and walked back and forth to the Sherman front door.

The couple recorded the time codes and in total the man appeared to enter the house three times, for a total of 29 minutes inside the house. Finally, he returned to his car and drove off west. The couple could not make out the man’s face or the licence and style of car.

It is possible, say others who later saw the video, that the man only stood outside the door, not entering the Sherman house. The couple never thought to look at the Wednesday video, which presumably shows when the Shermans arrived home and if anyone was following them. Still, they thought the Thursday video was important. As news reports had revealed to them, the Shermans were dead in the basement at that time.”
Barry and Honey Sherman: The first 48 hours are crucial in a homicide. The police acted like they were in no rush

Not being privy to Apotex financial statements, so I am just guessing that the $1 Billion in lawsuit liabilities was not considered by Barry as too much of a burden to face. He usually could work out a deal.

Islamic terrorists? Don't they usually act with media attention in mind? Hostage takings, Bombings, Kidnapping, Hi-jacking?

If the killers planned and hoped the bodies would not be discovered until Friday, to ensure their escape, and If I assume they will be flying, was there flights on Friday that were not available to certain destinations?

I am thinking the killers would want a non-stop, preferably with their country's flag carrier. For example if I wanted to get back to Portugal, I would favor a non-stop on TAP airlines. But maybe TAP does not fly Thursday, but does on Fridays.

Can anybody access Toronto Pearson flight schedules for Thursday December 14 and Friday December 15, 2017. I would be most interested in flag carriers flying non-stop to their home country.
There cannot be that many, particularly if there was no flight on Thursday but one on Friday. May not lead to anything but..................

Hi Windsor, I hope the TPS would have gone through this step already!
Re the $1 billion- while this is alot of $, this was/is the way Apotex (and many other generic companies) operate(d)- win some, lose some, appeal, try and settle, or launch a new lawsuit based on some supposed new case merits. I am confident BS took this in stride, he and his associates had been down this road many times before.

There was a lockbox on the house, meaning that a realtor could have accessed the key and opened the door if given the code by the selling agent.

Regarding the billion that BS/Apotex owed and wondering if that could interfere somehow
(ie. a lien ) with the ability to put huge resources into the yet to be built, Forest Hill mansion?

The house Honey and Barry Sherman would have built | The Star
''The property at 91 Old Forest Hill Rd. is desolate now, an empty 25,000-square-foot lot near Eglinton Ave. W. and Spadina Rd. where a house once stood. The plot of land was registered in Honey’s name in November 2016, and the old house had been demolished to make way for something new.''

''The Old Forest Hill Rd. property was transferred to Honey for $0 in 2016 from Abraham J. Green Ltd. The property was once owned by another prominent couple in philanthropic circles and the Jewish community, the late Al and Malka Green. Honey and Malka were both directors at the Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center for Holocaust Studies.

Real estate lawyer Mark Weisleder reviewed the property transfer record for the Star, and explained that the Shermans would have paid the provincial and municipal land-transfer taxes directly to the Ministry of Finance and the City of Toronto before the sale closed to avoid having the cost of the property show up on property records.''

No I don’t think so because Apotex is incorporated, the Old Forest Hill Rd property was in Honey’s name.

there would have been 2 newspapers- one from Thursday morning and one from Fri morning. The same paper (ie like globe and mail) just 2 days. I think I recall that when the service providers arrived Fri morning they reported picking up a single newspaper outside the door.

In my area, it is a common courtesy if you are going to someone's door to pickup a newspaper laying in the driveway, or on a porch, and take it to the person you are going to see. I do it all the time for friends and family. Maybe the persistent man who was at the door on Thurs. a.m. picked it up and took it in with him. IMO

That is certainly possible. Although the service providers have never indicated in their interviews with KD (at least that he has published) that the Thursday paper was inside the house, unread and untouched. So maybe the mystery visitor on Thursday treated himself to a coffee and a danish, and read the newspaper at the kitchen table while apparently in the Shermans house!

Do we know what kind of paper it was? In our area, we have a once-a-week delivery of a bundle of flyers that looks like a newspaper in a bag. I've lived other places where a free newspaper was delivered only twice a week.

Donovan wrote that Barry had the Star delivered and routinely read it at around 8:30 am. But I don’t think we know which paper the housekeeper picked up.

ETA: I’m curious to know if the Shermans hadn’t died, would there have been headlines about Apotex’s court losses, layoffs, lobbying probe, or anything else in the press during December 15–January 30th that would have devalued the brand. The TEVA pillow-talk scandal became overshadowed by the news of the murders. If the murders were a coup, the killers may have seen that Apotex and Barry were about to receive a lot of negative press.

Further to my post above, if this was an orchestrated coup, with Barry out of the way they could get rid of Desai and Kay.

Interesting, so according to KD he thinks this is almost a cold case! He also said it's time to bring in some other officers on this case and that they executed 2 search warrants in a different country. One resulted in nothing and they are waiting for results from the 2nd one. Very interesting.

What I don’t understand is what is it that led them to focus on this other country? I read the latest articles a few times trying to understand. Witness statements place them there or a POI lives in that country?

Who knows? Maybe because BS had dealings all around the world? Or maybe because JS spent several weeks in Japan and just arrived home on Dec 12th? Also, their other daughter was in Mexico at the time of the murders. It would be nice to know which country they did the search in. KD mentioned the police thinks money is the motive, but KD said he doesn't understand why kill HS if it was business related. I keep on flip flopping thinking one of the children (or a spouse) may be involved, then I think otherwise.

Also there was a significant dispute with a former employee who allegedly stole info from Apotex and was allegedly setting up competing production facilities in Pakistan. MOO
