On February 20th, 2018, I reviewed the Statement Summary of Jeremy DESAI’s
statement, which he provided to Det. PRICE on February 1st, 2018. I have summarized
the Statement Summary as follows:

xi. In the afternoon of the 13th, Jeremy, Barry and Jack had a meeting in Jack’s office
at 2:33 PM. Later on in the afternoon Jeremy left the office at 5:15 PM to attend
a Christmas dinner. Upon leaving Jeremy saw Barry’s car in the parking lot as
well as Honey’s car. (p. 76)

Brandon Price conducted the witness interviews and a summary was written by Kaitlynn Bell, but the affidavit itself was written by Det. Yim, if we’re talking about the same affidavit.

Det. Kristy Devine wrote the first two affidavits and Det. Yim wrote all the subsequent ones. I’ve found many errors in Det. Yim’s affidavits.

ETA: I noticed that Jonathon’s ex-bf AL’s statement was redacted in initial documents and then unsealed. Maybe they cleared him if he is one of the people that was a possible POI.

Oh for sure, but at the same time, most tickets are electronic. It wouldn't have been hard to look at the tickets or to check your calendar. You don't need to know the exact time you arrived home but takeoff and landing times and dates could be ballparked

Here is an example of two affidavits that are the same except one is complete and the other has two paragraphs blanked out. It is interesting to note which paragraphs were blanked out (iv, v):

viii. Fred went down to the basement pool area when his family visited the SHERMANs and they were given a tour of the house. Fred would go down stairs when he wanted to get away from people during family dinners. Fred has never seen anyone use the pool.

ix. Fred believes that Barry was Atheist. Fred is not Jewish and Jonathon did not follow the religion.

x. Fred says, in his mind, the SHERMANs could not have killed themselves.

xi. The SHERMANs were planning to go to Japan.

xii. Barry would have Christmas dinner at Fred and Jonathon’s home when Honey was away in Florida. This year they had arranged the same thing. The dinner was scheduled for December 24th, 2017.

Sherman Murders Police Affidavit ITO # 7 Appendix C (09-23-2018)

I know AB also pointed out redactions that were later unsealed, but your posts highlighting the changes are interesting.

The Crown attorney is involved in the court appearances where KD is fighting to have the records unsealed. I’m guessing the changes in what are no longer needed to be redacted are meaningful because they offer a window into what the police may have been investigating.

Also, the Shermans planned trip to Japan was mentioned by witnesses, but few mentioned the trips to Miami, Israel or the other trips Honey had scheduled—why was Japan singled out? The one trip that lawyer DH and his wife were also included.

I have no problem with all of the children not being in contact with the parents for a few days, BUT I have huge concerns over their apparent lack of interest in solving the crime, with all their resources they could be doing so much more, putting up a reward but never begging for help isn’t really proactive.

Unless the children do have a suspect in mind and are sure of it and are waiting for LE to get 100% proof on the suspect. Maybe they stay silent not to further ruin the possibility of a guilty decision and or maybe they are staying in close contact with LE not the media.

I can’t imagine that BS and HS needed to be together and at home to take a call from a lawyer regarding a small mortgage that Barry held on a former coworkers property. What relevance would this be to HS? Also, HS mentioned IIRC at the meeting at Barry’s office earlier that day HS had said that BS has to be home earlier than normal that night. But in the Star article it sounds like this call wasn’t scheduled, but Hendler says he just called BS to get details on the mortgage.
I think the call was scheduled with BS and HS for 9pm, and that’s whyhe had to be home early, and I think it was to discuss their Wills. As an add on, Hendler was going to use the call to also ask about the mortgage details. I bet LE does not want the true reason of the call (Wills) to be disclosed, and so the documentation that has been released has been redacted where required to hide that fact. Even possibly Hendler felt that in his interview with LE that disclosing the Will discussion would breach his privilege obligations, so he only mentioned the inconsequential mortgage discharge. MOO

Remember Honey’s emails to the Blaney law firm? She emailed them up to and including the day of the murders. The police were allowed to see the heading of the emails but they were not permitted to review the contents as they were privileged. That makes me think the 9:01 call and the emails were connected.

It was about their estate or that large transfer of money to Honey, imo. I wonder if calls to Barry’s Blackberry were reserved for family matters and urgent Apotex business matters. If so, Doug H. knew to call Barry at work about the Lubinsky mortgage which was routine, but the call to his Blackberry was a personal privileged matter. (Speculation).

Also, someone close to the investigation wanted KD to know about Doug H.’s 9:01 pm call. Why?

My guess is that the misaligned meeting time is an error by Desai. I do not see this meeting time inconsistency as meaning that either are being dishonest or suspicious. More likely it’s a mistake, as it’s easily disproven /substantiated with Apotex cameras etc. MOO.

Does it mean that BS first arrived at work after 1 pm or that BS returned to work from lunch after 1 pm?

Time enough, so it seems, to be at the (unforeseen?) meeting in the afternoon of the Dec 13th, which JD mentioned. If JD mailed to BS, BS didn't answer but had questions, and JD wanted to participate in the meeting, this meeting must have been verrry important to at least 3 partners.
JK's wife will have been used to rescheduled appointments between her husband and BS after 30 years of close cooperation. LE could also have asked her, when the flight took place.

I am posting this in regards to the “Night Walker”
This is a totally personal and anecdotal.
I have experienced this on several occasions,
This is my experience on those cold slippery evening walks:
1) I do exactly as the NW does. My left foot stays mostly on the ground but my right foot lifts up and propels me,
2) I have never had any broken legs or amputations.
3) I am about 70 years old and am aware of friends who have fallen so I am much more careful than when I was young.
4) I am right-handed.
5).My tailor would confirm that my left leg is one half inch less than my right leg.
6) Ok, this one is far out but I have to mention it. In my youth, I was a curler and I learned to slide with my left foot and push with my right.
The above may mean nothing however I think we should consider:
1) The NW is not necessarily an amputee.
2) I believe the NW is likely to be on the older side, say 45+ and probably more.
Just my thoughts.
