Latest from Joe Warmington:

They were executed!
That was the lede of the column written Dec. 15, 2017, on the strange deaths of Honey and Barry Sherman.
I was about to push the send button when Toronto Police sources said it was wrong.
“It was not a double murder,” said one cop. “It’s a murder-suicide, with him killing her, dragging her body to the pool, hanging it and then hanging himself.”
...

We were asking police last night if anybody looked to see if there was a blank cheque in Barry Sherman’s wallet — since he is said to have always carried one.

We know pretty much nothing about what Barry invested in. Now things are coming to light about fraudsters that were involved with him. Sounds like several good choices for the crime that we see already. I imagine there are more.

Looks like Barry was courted cleverly by people to get his money. I don’t think Barry cared about striking it rich. Rather he liked the challenge of innovating new ideas and supporting people in their endeavors.

Con men can be charming

I'm wondering if this guy is in jail? If so he couldn't be the perp.
This guy found his victims through E-Harmony site (Hmmm HS?)
He was released on bail earlier this month.

"Rootenberg was arrested again last June on criminal charges. Toronto Police allege Rootenberg defrauded two women with whom he had intimate relationships. The Fifth Estate has learned that Barry Sherman provided a statement to police in the criminal case against Rootenberg.

Rootenberg was held at Toronto South Detention Centre after his arrest. He was released on bail earlier this month. CBC News: The Fifth Estate was unable to reach Rootenberg for comment after leaving an email and phone message."

And the plot thickens.
The plot not only thickens, but is boiling over!
imo.
Wondering if Mr G.,apparently the liaison between BM and the alleged fraudster, is related to Ms.G, the realtor for the 50 Old C.house?
imo, speculation.

HS also could have been conned as she too liked to donate $ and time to different causes. JMO

I'm so very sorry for this family, beginning with the victims of such a heinous crime.

I'm also so relieved that the denigration of Barry Sherman, and also his children for rejecting theories of murder/suicide, have both officially been silenced.

Thanks for the info. The plot is thickening fast today. :notgood:
I've corrected my post with additional info, Peace777. You should take a look. He was granted bail earlier this month. Still very suspicious, imo.

Others to add to the list of people against BS :gaah:.
Where did BS come across some of these shady characters like FD etc?
Sounds like the Sherman's did need security cameras around there house. JMO

Its bizarre that such a successful, frugal and smart man was such an easy mark.

In most cases like this suit there is little hope for recovery.

I was mistaken on who met this goon. It was BS and NOT HS it sound's like. But in the above article snippet is says defrauded 2 women, then mentions BS.
This is how BS met this goon http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/barry-sherman-lawsuit-1.4506346
I deleted my previous post as I was wrong on my assumption

Correct, SR was introduced to BS by a friend, who allegedly met SR in jail as well (both in on fraud charges). This man was not named as a defendant in the lawsuit against SR, but it must be said, BS has some interesting characters around him.

Wondering if the scratches on HS hands and wrists were from BS trying to get her loose when they were tied together, maybe back-to-back? Also wondering if HS was attacked in front of BS? Did she get loose? Was she knocked around after getting loose? Cuts on mouth? It all sounds way too personal... If they had their jackets on, not sure now, but if they did, maybe they never got comfortable when they got home, usually jackets fly off before shoes in our house. Revenge is best served cold....is this from something personal years back? It just sounds so very mean and calculated.

Yeah, their relationship, business or otherwise, always struck me as very strange to say the least. BS, being one of the most intelligent of businessmen, I just don't see what he saw in aligning himself with FD or how/why he would support such plans and ideas. Something's weird there, imo.

Whether it's related or not remains to be seen, but it's a strange aspect in this story.

But unless FD is in BS's will, I am not sure how he would profit from BS's death. He has a better chance of getting money from BS while he is alive.
