I'm also of the opinion that this timeframe was chosen for a reason. So many folks accessing the home, going in and out, only muddies the waters and distances the perpetrator(s).

TPS said they do have video surveillance from the area so I'm hoping if TPS had done witness statements/interviews that somewhere in there a person IF they were involved messed up by saying they weren't in the area around the time of the murders but is seen on the surveillance videos. JMO

Lol, Steve Ryan makes me chuckle. He's now speculating on all the things we've been saying on WS for 6 weeks.

Ugh he's a hack. He has been pushing the murder suicide from day one and refused to be swayed. And now he looks foolish. He is a poor speaker and was terrible at the police announcement. Right after Gomes said that they were targetted, Ryan fumbled and asked if they were targetted.

So my suspicion of a double murder from the beginning is confirmed. I wonder how coincidental the Apotex CEO's resignation with the TPS announcement is. Will the Sherman family parallel investigation need to continue? Seems to me it was launched as a result of TPS's leak of their original murder/suicide theory, which disgusted the family, a total waste of time and money

LE absolutely can go right in and execute it. It's just much easier with cooperation from the party. So to me, it suggest Apotex isn't being that cooperative, and that's really strange, imo.

Grey-St do you know how getting a warrant or execution order works? I always assumed that the police go in front of a judge and present sufficient evidence to get the order. I didn't know that a judge would then entertain submissions from other parties to not allow the warrant to proceed. How would other parties even know that the matter was in front of the judge? Does anyone have any knowledge here? Very strange IMO

It will also be interesting if the leaks were true about the cameras in the pool area were turned off. I don't recall that being mentioned in the new conference.

Yes, that, or they've also been able to identify the majority of the people on video through interviews, and have narrowed it down to people they haven't been able to identify.

Could it be because they have an idea of who it may be?
I hope they do. But I have always had a horrible feeling this was a professional hit. Like the Jill Dando murder here in London, the trail was almost immediately cold. The mere fact the police considered double suicide and murder suicide as options tells me that. The only mistake or unplanned eventuality I've heard about was that Honey put up a fight and probably there were no corresponding injuries on Barry. That and leaving markings on the wrists. Neither of those will lead them to the killer/s IMO.

I suspected it was a double homicide from the get go. :(
Glad the family will get some answers and hopefully the perp/s who committed the murder of their parents will be found. (I think TPS may have an idea who was involved) JMO
Then the sudden resignation of Apotex President and CEO today. Interesting outcome, plot thickens....

Totally agree. TPS should keep a very close eye on Dr. Jeremy Desai, follow the money.

Yes, you are correct, they go before a Judge with evidence that warrants the execution of a search. Then it's approved or not by that Judge. I'm not sure if or how the parties would know LE was before a Judge in order to object.

I've had a sneaking suspicion for a while that he was a plant. Not the leafy variety. I'm sure I posted about it very early on but I'd rather save it for a rainy day to go back through the old threads.

I'm surprised a reporter didn't ask this question, re: two residential properties.

I thought TPS said they thoroughly checked two properties belonging to the Sherman family. I was driving and had to watch traffic....bummer!

So.....what about TPS claiming right away this was M/S. THAT in itself is awful, for everyone involved. Shame on them for releasing that statement when it was with little knowledge.

I am happy that we can now put this argument to rest, and now focus on who did it.

Those things may not, let hope other things do!

Not that there was probably much there, but they also owned the vacant lot for the new house.

Yes, they did say they searched two of the Sherman properties. I believe somebody here questioned where the second property was that LE searched. I don't think we know this yet. jmo

So some leaks were correct, The belts,

I wonder what semi sitting means.

It does not seem a random burglar would go to all of this trouble. It seems very personal to me.

They were last seen alive Weds evening. The architect?

If the scene is being released then I think it means that there is no double homicide in this case. JMO

The scene has been preserved for nearly 6 weeks. Most crime scenes are released far sooner than that! What more could there possibly be to do?

I can't be clear on this but I think one of the reporters asked if they were working with police in any other countries and she said no and then corrected herself to say yes, vis-a-vis the second property.
