Thinking about Ben tonight. I went to a Cowboy Poetry event earlier this evening, and I could not help but think about Ben when seeing the 'real' Cowboys there. I hope Ben is found soon.

Anna, what article do you want? I have a few bookmarked.

Do you happen to have the article where one of the things they mentioned was that he could have rode out Sunday afternoon?

I haven't been able to find it again but when I saw it, I wondered if he had gone to church that morning.

Following, for Ben.

For those that live in the area, or have similar properties, ranches near wilderness etc. Have you ever heard of someone disappearing for this long? No trace at all?
I would be interested in knowing also
As a fellow equestrian (I event and do hunter/jumpers, though), I’m absolutely gobsmacked that this has happened in this day and age. Not very hospitable conditions for the cowboy to be lost in, I’m afraid.
I don’t understand why you say this? Many people go trail riding etc. Or perhaps I misunderstood your comment.

@watcher9 I think the article you mention was edited, or pulled entirely. LE keeps the timeline hush hush, imo. I think they have reason. Moo

Check the Missing facebook page. There is a section labeled Media and has all reports listed in order. The one I saw where he rode out Sunday (didn't say afternoon) was entitled Time Narrowed, where they reported he was seen last Saturday evening.

I've tried to familiarize myself with the Terms of Service and rules of WS but I'm wondering if someone could explain why members are not allowed (or discouraged) to bring up other Missing cases when they are in the vicinity; and also often involving the same LE and SAR groups? I"ve looked through the TOS but I cannot locate.

(for example, in BC the town of Lillooet does not have their own SAR and it is Nicola Valley (Merritt) SAR that is the group that gets the call).

I too feel stupid when it comes to specifics of web sites rules, its not that I am trying to be disrespectful, I have a brain injury, so my memory is not the greatest. I sure hope they don’t ban me, because I know they do a really good job investigating very cold cases.

I hear ya, it makes sense imo that it is easiest in this weather that a SAR team come from the Okanagan to get to Lilloet as it is surrounded by huge mountains and forests.

Actually, I think no news is good news, as far as the investigation. IMO MCU has a fairly good idea what happened.
A big prob, what did Ben do after his last known sighting at 10pm, Saturday. We only know it was appx 43 HRs before his beloved horse was found. That’s a big window, imo.
All MOO
Yes the first 48 is very important for sure imo.

I emailed Dara Hill @ Merritt Herald to see if they are covering the story. She emailed back “.....keep an eye on our website.”

I keep checking back hoping to see "found" or "located", I have thought about this until my head hurts. One thing we know for sure, "something" happened to Ben, just wish they would find something, a boot, a hat, something, anything. I refuse to give up hope....I am being stubborn about this one. I keep expecting him to be found alive somehow. I hope if his family returns home they keep his dogs and horse for him. I cannot say I know the terrain in that area. But I know of people in Colorado that have dug in and showed up months later when something went amiss. (usually frostbit and losing some digits, but alive). I just somehow expect him back. My thoughts continue to be with Ben for strength, and his family and friends. IMHO

I try to follow up on the local news in Merritt : News

However it’s been quiet it seems forever, on this case, I wish whatever circumstances it takes to uncover the truth, would speed up a bit sheesh imo.

Oh, I think his bro will definitely look out for Ben’s animals! Be sure to watch the Missing Ben Tyner FB.

If memory serves me correct his last verified time of being seen was Saturday at 2pm, correct?

DH, one report has a 10 pm sighting. IMO, LE had an initial report of a 2pm sighting & later verified a 10pm. Jmo
