Once this case is solved, I think your questions will be answered.
I agree, too much evilness in our world.
I wasn't really asking questions, I was laying out the possible scenarios: first degree murder, second degree murder, manslaughter.
The onus of proper hiring of foreign workers is on the employer, not the employee so I’m not insinuating Ben might be at fault whatsoever. I’m only mentioning the possibility that it might be connected in some way because the media has chosen to sidestep the status of his residency in Canada as well. I just can’t shake the feeling that’s unusual.
I agree, it would be noted and commented on, not because of Ben's personality or particular citizenship, but because of his status as boss. If he'd been brought in as a junior cowboy, that would be different.

I also agree, it may not be relevant to what happened, but it may have been a challenge for him. Being the boss is never easy, anyway, when you're the newcomer.

Is there a MSM link to the company that owns NR please, including these other assets? Other than a “cash flow situation” that caused NR to hire out hay operations in 2017, I cant find any information about worldwide operations,
Bradner R Farms assumes haying operation at Nicola Ranch - Merritt Herald

I do notice a persons name associated to the company but I’m wondering if an assumption is made because of that common first and last name.

In Canada, the names of specific owners/shareholders of private companies is not public information. If we don’t know much of anything about the ownership structure or who’s responsible for maintaining hiring practises given the ranch is not owner managed, that’s just another question mark to add to what went wrong for Ben imo.

No. No msm.
Have to go thru FB.
....wait, I did post (but when) the article about NR selling to a Taiwanese family. Not sure when I posted though, sorry. There’s no assumption, on my part, regarding the rather common name, only have to go to his FB where he declares himself as owner of NR.
We can’t sleuth the owner here, due to TOS.
The best albeit arduous manner to get info is the official Ben Tyner Missing FB page, read ALL comments, and so on, keep going FB to FB.

Co-owner’s involved in a host of business ventures around the world. None related to ranching.

Maybe it’s just a coincidence but NR or associations with it have been struck with tragedy at least 3 times in less than 2 years. That we know of, that is - considering only significant events are reported by the media.
- spring of 2017 NR outsources haying operations and in July the other ranch is struck by wildfire, will take 2 years to rebuilt.
'Now it's just gone': Wildfire evacuees with destroyed property grapple with future | CBC News
- fire destroys church on NR property, accused arsonist is arrested, released on bail pending trial.
- riderless horse is found, ranch Manager has disappeared under suspicious circumstances.

One of the reasons I’m a FB boycotter/avoider is nothing that’s posted has been verified.

But if this person is vocal on FB, I question why has he not spoken publicly to offer his regret for the tragedy of Ben’s mysterious disappearance, by contacting the media. Not even during the time Ben’s family travelled to Merritt from Wyoming? Now almost two months have gone by. Has this person never travelled to the location where his newly hired Ranch Manager disappeared from and if so, why not. I wonder what’s the reason he’s staying low key.

He’s not “vocal” on FB, but there’s info.
I’m guessing his lawyer told him to refrain from commenting. I have mentioned his absence many times over the course of Ben’s disappearance.
He must be mortified, imo & hoping for resolution.
Speculating only, as I have previously stated, it is MOO this will end right back where it started.
Notice no one from NR discusses Ben. It’s not only the owner’s not speaking out.
IMO, the legal team for NR has told everyone to zip their lips.
Tammy, the office manager spoke out early on.

The fire was horrific.

You got my hinky meter running wild.
I went back and perused all the messages and some fb and
think you're spot onto something.
If you saw it and I saw it, surely LE has noticed also.
It seems to be hitting us right in the face, it's so obvious.
I'm pretty sure I can guess what you're thinking and you could
be right. Lots of things add up. Holy Moly!!

Can we speculate on a "Mr. XX" and discuss details as long as we
don't name a person? I'll checks w/ mods.

Don't forget the truck and tools theft in 2017 also. I'll get the link.

edit to add link-
Truck, tools stolen from Nicola Ranch - Merritt Herald

2017 was chaotic, huh?
I will say farm theft is very common, too common, where I live. Most of the farm hands are transient, they are in demand, so even a felony record does not prevent them from moving on to a bigger, better farm. Someone’s gotta do the worl.

I think this case is really not as difficult as most. Jmo

I think only in private message.

Where'd everybody go? Must be scouring those messages.lol

Lol. Well that’s all we have. We can glean a lot from friends & family. We don’t need msm for that. Msm is only able to report what has been told to them by the same people.
Idk why but I expect an arrest or two very soon.
I think LE knows who they will arrest but to have enough to hold the person/s want one more piece of the puzzle.

I agree three bad events.

I believe the church at Nicola was burned because it was a church, not because it was part of the ranch.

Yeah at least one must be getting nervous, he even lost his dog!
But then he found it.
Do we agree?

Why do you think 2 people are involved?

  • #499
We don't know enough to even speculate a motive at this point.
Was Ben planning changes in the work environment of the
cowboys? extending their hours? Cutting back on time off?
Shortening lunch hours? Fewer benefits?
Did Ben uncover someone padding their gas account?
Or taking home the company truck for personal use?
Asking the workers to take a pay cut to make NR more profitable?
Maybe he uncovered some theft or gross negligence on a worker.
He was just getting into the books and records, maybe he was
going to make major changes? Just thinking out loud.
I think we can at least speculate. Once RCMP announced that foul play was involved and they were looking for the final pieces to a puzzle they were assembling, speculation began. Well, it probably began before that because that's what we do here on WS.

Motive could have involved either something related to his place of work (envious, disgruntled employee; something illicit going on the Ben discovered; anger over Ben's position and hiring) or something related to his personal life (angered ex boyfriend; jealous woman/women)..or even part of some hate/conspiracy against the ranch and owner...all these just examples, of course. And definitely all IMO...And speculation based on use of the word "targeted" from LE. Again, JMO

Ditto. The arsonist suspect is kind of “out there”.
He was prob one of the first interviewed & immediately cleared.
