I think the approach, "who profits?" is reasonable, only in this case, there were so many people connected financially with Barry that it is a tangled web.

Ironically, I also believe the motive was financial, but in a relatively modest amount, not the billions that flowed to heirs.

Only a complete psychopath would murder a business partner’s parents in hopes that the business partner would inherit large sums and then invest that money into the shared business.

All of these scenarios are working backwards from the assumption Jonathon must have been involved. I think they are all extremely unlikely.

Sorry but I never inferred or implied Jonathan was involved in planning or performing these murders. In fact I specifically noted in my hypothetical example that it would be crazy for the associate to involve or inform the heir(s)..

In any event, wouldnt you agree that it would take a complete psychopath to murder these two innocent people in the first place?

FYI, I am sad to report that JK has passed away.
Mr. Kay was instrumental in the growth and success of Apotex; he was a dear friend of the Sherman’s; and above all he was an honourable and compassionate man. RIP..
Hopefully Jack will now be able to reconnect with BS and he will be able to learn from BS the truth about what actually happened. Although I think Mr Kay already had a good idea…..

I feel like I have a good sense of who he suspects, reading between the lines of things he’s said and conversations he’s had with readers in Q&As. He’s obviously not going to say it explicitly for legal reasons, but I have the impression he has a suspect and who it is.

I think after the airing of his tv episode, he stated he was very sure of who did it and the TPS also were, but lack of evidence and litigation issues prevented him from saying. If anyone knows "things" it's Kevin Donovan, he has spent years and time researching this case. Yes, of course... all to line his coffers, but I think he stumbled on "things", and obtained releases from courts in FOI that assisted him.

And I can't believe we are still talking about it.

I find it hard to believe that both the IDF and Iran are involved, as they are sworn enemies. Secondly the Iranian fellow involved in the condo building, was being pursued for financial crimes by the Iranian Government. It is not likely the Iranian government would assist him by killing the Sherman's.

Maybe some ex Israeli or ex-Iranian agents were involved, but in unofficial capacity and not government sanctioned.

Anyone who follows his work knows that Kevin Donovan believes Jonathon is responsible for the murders, had financial motivations, came up with his plan very quickly, and carried it out with two friends. In the past year he has provided an increasingly elaborate description of what he imagines happened.

He believes all of this without evidence. He also believes, without evidence, that the police share his theory.

I think he’s waaaaaaaaay off and incredibly irresponsible.

At the very end of the Billionaire Murders Podcast, Season 2 Episode 9 (Succession), KD presents this hypothetical:

"What if the killers are people with some connection to one or all of the four children, and they saw an opportunity to help themselves financially in the hope that if money flowed to the children, it might then flow to them."

That is a pretty short list of people.

I was surprised BS wanted to get involved with this Iranian backer, but money is money, and I hear BS could be ruthless.
But def not govt hit. As to the IDF..... hmmmm....

I do think JS had a personal and financial reason. He was angry and owed BS, but I feel he comes off as a dufus, without the mental ability to execute a perfect plan even with help from his bros....... to me this was an expert hit, with a strange amount of personal drama by placing the bodies (I believe this is the clue. It wasn't just a sick hitman, or a hitman displaying a comedy routine, this was personal)

KD def wants to sell books, and no one can hold him to the fire to prove his suspicions as he hasn't come out and said "whodunnit", but he's been clear he is almost positive and it aligns with TPS line of thinking.
TPS could tell him to reveal what he knows about a crime, but that would get really messy, and I don't think TPS wants to go down that trail, especially since NOK appear to no longer care who or what or how.
If JS is #1 suspect, he has certainly remained in the news, with the donations and builds. Even his sister has been splashing out money from the foundation. I"m not arguing about how they've spent it, which I think was all good, but JS certainly did it in a big way....... personally I would stay quiet and go live remotely off my billions..........
