Police investigating after body found in burnt out car in Scarborough
"Police say they received a call just before 12:30 p.m. for reports of a vehicle fire in the Brimley Road and Bluffer’s Park area.

Fire crews quickly extinguished the blaze and that’s when the body was discovered.

Police say they are treating the incident as suspicious."

"I would say the entire scene is considered suspicious," Nassis said on Sunday.

No details have been released about the body.

Anyone with information is urged to call police.

It was a pickup truck.
Person found dead inside burnt-out vehicle in Scarborough
Emergency crews were called to the area of Brimley Road and Bluffers Park after receiving a call about a pickup truck that was on fire in the area.

I grew up by the top of the bluffs, we used to walk to the park all the time.

My brother drives two pickup trucks and still lives right by there. (He had a sky blue truck and a black one.)

Odds are small. But he’s not in touch with the family.

Whoever their loved ones are, I’m hoping the best for them at this difficult time.

I’m not in Toronto now, but the weather there was reportedly 7 degrees with a mix of rain and snow. (Likely colder at Bluffers Park in Scarborough as it’s right on the lake.)

People go there even on days like today, taking their coffees or to walk their dogs.

So a suspicious truck fire in the middle of the day? That’s odd.

There’s an excellent, big restaurant down there. I’m not sure of its hours, but it’s open from March to December 31st.

Year round there are boats and houseboats docked there.

These stories are frustrating. There was also a body located in the water a few months earlier at Bluffers Park, also no follow-up information or story.
