WARMINGTON: Body found in school bus a wild discovery in Brampton | Toronto Sun

''It was a strange finding — like something from Into the Wild.

A man was found dead in a school bus early Saturday.''

''Was this death by misadventure, homicide or as a result of the frigid temperature?

“At this point, we don’t yet know,” Peel Regional Police Const. Sarah Patten said Saturday.

Police don’t even know for sure if the deceased is a man, although they believe so.''

''There appears to have been tampering with the bus and it is believed the licence plates had been removed.

“When (officers) went inside they found the body,” said Patten.

The coroner was called to the scene and an investigation has begun.''

“An autopsy is expected to be conducted today,” Patten said.

It is in the early stages now to determine what is behind this disturbing find. And who it was who died in the bus.

Person found dead inside bus parked at school in Brampton: police
''Bevan Guy, an investigator with OFM, told CTV News Toronto that he believes there was a small fire in the bus, and it appeared to have started in the driver's area.

The body was located about three rows from the front of the bus. OFM believes the victim was sleeping at the time of the fire.

"It appears that at some point in time, that burning has caused heat energy and toxins to be released to the interior of a bus, which obviously has had an impact upon the victim," Guy said.

A portable space heater was recovered and will be examined.

When asked if the heater caused the fire, Guy said, "That is one very likely potential."

"From the point of the fire marshal's office, there is nothing suspicious at this time," he said''

When you ask Jameel David how he would describe his older brother, Terry Bailey, he is not at a loss for words.

“He was the life of the party, always going out and always looked out for everyone. He did a lot of volunteer work at Grace Church; he spent a lot of time there,” he said.

The father of two died on Feb. 12 after being located in an empty school bus in Brampton by Peel Regional Police.

Rest in peace, Terry.

So sad. And a story so different from many others. No homicide, no substances, a loving family, he was not transient or homeless. But wanted to build a mobile home for himself and later for the homeless community he volunteered in.
