Curious - has anyone reviewed the videos of community meetings with police last year to see if BM was in attendance?

here's one such video from the August community meeting . A few in crowd look similar to BM, ie. at the 1m55s mark top right.

I'm just wondering if BM was so bold to participate in the searches, etc for his own victims.

[h=1]Search expands to Peel and Durham in Bruce McArthur case[/h]Lead investigator says tips are coming in from “all over the world” as police work on the assumption that more victims will be discovered.
Toronto police have expanded their search to more than 30 locations across the GTA as they chase leads in the Bruce McArthur case.

At a news conference Wednesday, the lead investigator in the case said tips are now coming to police from “all over the world.”
A source said the property searches have now extended to properties in Peel and Durham regions, as well as Yonge and St. Clair.

Investigators have not named the victims whose remains have already been recovered.

Idsinga said police are still operating on the assumption that more victims will be discovered as investigators pursue “dozens” of tips.

It looks like him but the hair on the top seems a bit too dark. From photos BM's hair looked pure white. Having said that the guy in the video is staring right at the camera at 1:51 and then in a different scene from a much further vantage point (at 1:58), he still seems to be focused strongly on the camera while everyone else is ignoring it. He may just be some random guy, who is curious about what is going on.

In the video Det.-Sgt Idsinga is asked to what degree the case is international. He said they've received tips from all over that they were investigating. When specifically asked if they were looking into situations where someone visited Toronto and went missing, or situations where BM went traveling to other countries, Idsinga said "both". When asked if they were looking at possible crimes in the US, he responded that he wasn't going to name specific countries.

(This is just the gist of what he said rather than his exact words.)

Given that the homeowners at Mallory Crescent have been exposed to a huge amount of media attention, and their house and address have been pictured in media worldwide (the US and the UK), I can understand why some clients of BM might think twice about contacting TPS.

Yeah I can imagine. I took a quick look at Yelp Canada and there is a Toronto Landscaping Company called "Artistic Design" which is the name of his company from the news articles. The link to the website works, but his name is no where to be found in the website. So not sure if it is the same one. And there were no reviews for that one.

Bruce McArthur gave him planters: ‘God knows what’s inside’

The planters Kahn bought from McArthur – in cash, by Kahn’s recollection – at Church Bistro 555 may be lower on police’s priority list due to their size and location, Idsinga told the Star.

“Highly unlikely that [the killer] is going to put remains in a planter like that, because they really would stink if they’re indoors,” he said. “I have no idea how far behind we are on checking addresses, but I’ll take a look at it and see where it’s at.

“I’ve got guys out there right now.”

Random thought of the evening, a high profile unsolved murder of the original owner of The Barn, a popular gay bar in toronto. His ex boyfriend was found not guilty, and i dont believe anyone else was charged. Janko Naglic was found bound and gagged in his own home in October 2004. There was a lot of talk back then that it may have been accidental because Janko was known to be into BDSM and specifically asphyxiation play. Now wondering if he may be an early victim of BM prior to utilizing his business. See pic, does he fit the profile?

From the article linked above...

This week, local investigators contacted Ontario's serial predator crime investigations co-ordinator, a specialized OPP unit that co-ordinates multi-jurisdictional investigations where serial criminals are suspected, to inquire about McArthur.

That's the same unit that probed links between the Tim Bosma investigation and two other cases tied to convicted killer Dellen Millard — the disappearance of Laura Babcock in July 2012, and the death of his father Wayne Millard in November 2012.

Their call about the MacDermott case is merely a matter of course, local police say. It's not known if McArthur frequented Kitchener's gay community, but his arrest has led police forces around southern Ontario to look for possible links to cases of missing men in their jurisdictions, too.

Oh my word. I wouldn't put it past him. He could potentially fit the profile in my opinion, especially if at that time he was just only establishing a profile. Not all of BM's victims were closeted either. I'm keeping my eye on this.

He would know Tracy Rogers then. She worked the Pickton case too.
And the Bosma/Babcock cases

Has this been shared yet? Video interview with a man who once hooked up with BM. Turns out I have a friend in common with him - dad's cousin's wife is a friend of his - gosh this is just too weird. This is from CBC The National

https://youtu.be/Mn29BpNerX0

Also so weird to think about him going for drinks at O'Grady's... it was a place I went to a lot when I lived back home.
