Yes, I saw the lawyers medical reasoning. Probably a psychological explanation given to her over coffee. IMO

It is one of many paraphalias and there are only theories about the cause. IMO

One of which, is that they are caused by neurodevelopemental problems in utero. Not wired right, from the start. IMO

These people cannot be fixed, no amount of therapy is going to help them out. IMO

To say its caused by depression, is a dreadful disservice to those who suffer from depression. IMO

Mixing up illnesses, is not a good nor fair thing. IMO

It seems he has picked very vulnerable populations. Years ago when they started reporting missing men I thought it was a killer going after middle eastern/south asian men but I see he has gone after other groups. It is interesting that he lived in Thorncliffe as the population there is reported to have 80% Muslims, and it appears some of his victims were from that background from their names. Thorncliffe Park: 80 percent of the population is Muslim and the majority of immigrants are from South Asia, according to the 2011 National Household Survey. 63.5% of the population is said to be south asian. I heard that sometimes serial killers may kill for revenge. Not sure if he chose this particular population for that reason. I also think that it would be the perfect place to hide. I am Muslim and from my own experiences with the community they are not very friendly towards the LGBTQ population. It simply is not accepted and it is very hard for Muslims who are LGBTQ so they don't disclose it openly. Some of their families would not know, and there is a sense of shame if a family member is gay. Sometimes a person may be completely abandoned by family for being gay. It seems he targeted the vulnerable knowing that if they went missing people were less likely to look.

On a side note I hope that everyone on this forum takes care of themselves. This is very heavy stuff, and self care is essential. Sometimes it is simply too much and you may want to take a break. It can be difficult to read such horrific things.

Yes, I agree with this, wholeheartedly.

Its apples and trees, isn't it Jasper52?

Apples and trees.

So true, the apple, quite often, doesn't fall far from the tree.

I hope LE always has him on their radar.

I agree.
I thought i had heard most of the psych disorders, but this one was a newbie for me. I wonder if the telemarketers who call incessantly offering to clean your ducts, also suffer from this malady? (I know..bad joke)

thanks ... I had read that article but somehow missed that detail
my immediate reaction is OMG how many perverts have used that as an excuse 'it's not my fault, I have telephone scatalogia'

I do wonder though, what he may have been subjected to as a child

rbbm

I'm getting so sick and tired of all these labels.

Here's another "label" (IMO, this is the fault of poor parenting and nothing else....jmo); Screen-addicted children may have newest mental illness

Sorry, there are more informative articles about this but I just chose one of the first articles listed in a Google search.

I think the next generation of kids will be nothing but zombies.............jmo.

http://www.cbc.ca/beta/news/canada/toronto/mcarthur-man-restraints-arrest-1.4511175
CBC Toronto learned on Tuesday that in addition to a property on Mallory Crescent in Leaside, police searched two more properties near Yonge Street and Balmoral Avenue in North Rosedale. Police also confirmed their search extends to properties as far as Peel, York and Durham regions.
Cadaver dogs are also on the hunt for clues, but they are having issues detecting scents due to the cold weather and frozen ground, the police source explained.
Det.-Sgt. Hank Idsinga, the lead investigator on the case, has called the investigation "unprecedented."

He told CBC Toronto that media attention on McArthur has resulted in a number of tips being submitted to police.

dotr, he's one lucky man - he could have very well been the next victim.

According to some reports, the restraints were handcuffs.

Huge massive THANKS to Sillybilly for creating the new forum.

Im collecting media links from this and the other threads, probably won’t have time to complete and post that today.

Also collating various addresses, and “last seen” locations. Do we have any mappers following who could help with that? I can’t create maps.

The people in the video don’t seem to have been the ones to have called the police. They both stated the police asked if they knew why they were there and they said yes. So if they knew BMhad done landscaping for them, why the hell didn’t they call the police?

why wait for the police to just show up? If you’ve had work done just call them!! Are they afraid of being inconvenienced or kicked out of their houses while
police search?

Given that the homeowners at Mallory Crescent have been exposed to a huge amount of media attention, and their house and address have been pictured in media worldwide (the US and the UK), I can understand why some clients of BM might think twice about contacting TPS.

I have to take a family member to doctor's appointments up the street from the Thorncliff rental. I would walk in a park/forest near there with my son, while waiting. I easily could've walked right pass BM and I would've taken no notice other than he looks like a nice, friendly man. So, so creepy.

Phenomenal work was usual. I knew Marmudi and Lisowick would end up having ties to The Village. It's simply how BM comes in contact with his victims. I'm so grateful for these journalists.

Another man on the list went missing around Church and Maitland, fwiw.

The couple at Mallory Crescent haven't been home for a week. The missing men haven't been home for years. I don't think anyone isn't calling in because they might be inconvenienced. I think they didn't think it was relevant until Monday's press conference.

snipped...
...That fear proved prescient, as police reported on Monday that Dean Lisowick, a common face in the Gay Village and long-time sex worker, is believed to be the last known victim of alleged serial killer Bruce McArthur.

...According to the charge information filed in court on Monday, Mr. Lisowick may have died anywhere between April, 2016, and March, 2017. At their news conference, police said he may have been alive as late of July, 2017.
