https://www.novascotia.ca/natr/hunt/pdf/SeasonDates.pdf

shoeshoe rabbit and fur bearing animals in February ..... are legal so maybe it has something to do with trapping and hunting ((the weapons charges)) just a guess on my part.

I cannot find anything in print either on RCMP facebook or using google to indicate, when where, how and by whom the charges originated.

I did not even think that he would be her son ..... I just couldn't find any other ''Robey'' reference....I don't know if that is a common name or???

at first when I zoomed in it looked like an "o" but perhaps it is an ''a'' as you point out

I'm not sure Robey is that common a surname (canada411 has 211 in Canada). Variations include Robie, Roby, etc. Thought to be primarily English origin, and maybe French. In genealogy research I've seen it moreso in eastern Canada than western and have seen it used as a variation of the Christian name of Robert.

Having said that, no clue why dude has a tatt with the name.

The video of her brother and his words were amazing. I don't ever think I have seen a video that was so positive in time of such tragedy. Amazing strength. Her brother said he was proud to have had her as his sister for 29 yrs and it is clear that the family is supporting the son by telling him how much was loved by his mom.

The brother is also a detective with TPD and in the video he points out that he cannot comment on the investigation as he is not part of it as much as he wishes he could be AND....he acknowledges that they may never understand why this occurred because how can you explain what goes on in someone's head to commit such a crime.

Sad sad turn of events...I remembered Catie's story from the summer :( May she rest in peace...my heart hurts so badly for her little boy & her family....

In regards to the tattoo of the suspect JJJ...there is a clearer picture here:
http://metronewsca.files.wordpress.com/2014/11/jamesjohnson02.jpg?w=618&h=408&crop=1

I have this font *or one quite identical/similar*...I took it into Photoshop and the capital letter in the picture...has no top loop ..the swirls make it appear to...but it doesn't..it appears this is an upper case K....
The second letter appears to be a lower case 'o' ......
The capital R in that particular font has a full loop to close the top *as it's a decorative script font it can be deceiving but there is no complete loop in the picture of the tat*
The lower case 'a' has a more distinct closing stroke going into the lower case 'b'....so I'm thinking maybe the tat says 'Kobey'? JMO

Also...looking at the charges for GH....
JJJ also has similar convictions in regards to weapons...
Note: GEH ...charged but not convicted...*I believe GEH is to appear next week for those charges?*.....JJJ...convicted.

http://thechronicleherald.ca/metro/...-murder-of-missing-halifax-woman-catie-miller
JJJ
*rsbm*......"is known to police; he has eight criminal convictions, including possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a prohibited weapon knowing its possession is unauthorized, public mischief, theft over $5,000, uttering threats, impaired driving and two counts of breaching probation."

http://thechronicleherald.ca/metro/1253745-two-more-suspects-charged-in-catie-miller's-death
GEH
*rsbm*......"He does face 14 charges for alleged offences that occurred in Sheet Harbour Passage in February, including causing unnecessary pain and suffering to an animal and 13 weapons-related charges: six counts of unsafe storage of a firearm, six counts of possession of a firearm knowing its possession was unauthorized and one count of possession of a prohibited firearm."

"Hubley is known to police, but MacDonald is not, said Bourdages.
Court records indicate that Hubley has no previous convictions.
"

ETA: As I was going back to re-read the above article ...I rec'd a 'whoops..page not found'...maybe they are updating it? Have left the link above about GEH & KAM in case it is fixed.

I'm also thinking out loud here....if it's stepping over the line I understand & please delete...

In light of the fact that this woman has been charged with 1st degree murder...I have a few questions going through my head...*as an added observation...both JJJ & KAM look 'smug' to me...JMOO...GEH...kinda blank...JMOO*

Did KAM know either GEH or JJJ when her husband was still alive? I know he passed suddenly in Jan 2013 as per his obituary...

Were GEH &/or JJJ new or old friends/acquaintances of KAM?

How soon did KAM become romantically involved with this JJJ after Jan 2013?

I'm assuming by about Apr/May 2013...from KAM's fb status update of 'had a baby' it was Jan this year...I think 8 months is incorrect if her fb is right? *the fb seems to be gone now*

If she is being charged with 1st degree murder in this case along with JJJ...I'm wondering if other 'sudden deaths' should be looked into.....JMOO

You know you may be on to something for sure.....there is quite the 'gap' between the capital letter and the rest.....
Wow hey.....if that 'dark thought' is what it is....I'm leaning towards that 'dark thought' now myself... Good eye there new!;)

Louise Robey was in the series Friday's Curse (70 episodes)

where they had to retrieve cursed items -- antique shop

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0092357/?ref_=nmbio_mbio

Oh my, I remember that show, used to watch it when I was a pre-teen/tween. It was quite mysterious and cheesy, very campy. I remember the actress in it too, she also had a hit song with a remake of 'One Night in Bankok'.

The suspect JJ is 29 IIRC, so he's probably too young to remember that series or to have been a fan, but then again with the internet and channels you can watch those old shows.

Very interesting…..could very well be….that is strange. I wonder if this was a kind of thrill kill for two sick and disturbed people?

It was confirmed by KAMs facebook page which has unfortunately since been shut down by either LE or her lawyer.

Thanks, I never got to see the FB page, so that is what I was missing!

Could drugs be part of this ? Perhaps she got involved with the wrong crowd for a bit and then tried to break free ?? Also was thinking of this in relation to the husband's sudden heart attack also. I know here in our area a perfectly healthy young man died of a heart attack from drugs last year.

yes.... thanks for broaching this subject - was wondering same thing if heart attack was end result of 'partying' behavior MOO

I hate to say it, but that came to my mind also about KO. When I hear of anyone 30-40 years of age dying from a heart attack I think drugs first, and family history of bad hearts/genetics second unfortunately!

JJ strikes me as the kind who might dabble in everything - violence, weapons, drinking, drugs, etc. I wonder about KAM though, what's her story I wonder...

i hope this works; i took everybody's ideas of what the tattoo on his neck is and then used a font change and came up with this. if you google it with Canada attached you get a webpage that can be posted on ws (which i will do in a minute),, but have a look at this and then the tattoo.

Kaloey ok, didn't work. Copy Kaloey and then take it into your word program and change it to French Script.

sometimes people get tattoos of names in remembrance of someone who has passed. what's interesting in this story is that the child's middle name is of Scottish origin, which will make sense if you look up other accounts of how the child died and the nationality of the father. it's a longshot but might have a connection. warning: other accts of the beating are very disturbing.
