exactly so. I've heard many of my friends use many of the terms she uses in her tiktoks. Its new age speak but not particularly indicative of mental illness or psychosis. To me she seems to be lost and seeking a deeper spirituality and self awareness. JMO Except for her last video. That was downright disturbing. She was clearly not herself.

She appeared to have drawn a very clear boundary in keeping her tiktok content about her and only her. That video with her clutching CB and angrily yelling to the camera was a departure from her normal postings.

I agree, I know lots of lots of people very into the new age/tarot/mystical and horoscopes type things. Twin Flames I think aligns with that to an extent, there are actually FB groups and memes about it too, so I see the memes shared.

I also live in a city that has a large new age, hippie and witchy vibes, we are thought to be witch capital of Canada so it's par for the course where I live lol

New member here. I live approximately 1 mile off of St. Emmanuel and about 3 miles from the BEM fireworks store in Coteau du Lac at the junction of St. Emmanuel and Autoroute 20 where this young child was reported missing

Just here to give some geographic perspective. My greatest concern is that the BEM store is less than 0.5 miles north from the Soulanges canal, an old shipping route closed 75 years ago. This canal is about 10 miles long running from Pointe des Cascades in the east to Valleyfield to the west. It runs parallel to highway 338 on one side and a recreational bicycle path on the other side.

Both the highway and bicycle path are only 10-20 feet from the edge of the canal which is not fenced with no barrier and a drop of 10-20 ft to the water .. In fact periodically cars or even pedestrians have been known to fall into the canal. I fear for any child that may be on their own at the side of highway 338 or the bicycle path. From what I have seen, much of the searching has been in the wooded area on the SW in green on the map which is heavily wooded marshland.

I was actually out cycling the path and headed north in St. Emmanuel at 5 pm on Sunday and saw nothing unusual except for a couple vehicles parked on the shoulder of the road just north of the tracks near the BEM store. I suspect someone had already started searching at that point being 1.5 hrs after she was reported missing.

Hoping for a miracle but the canal really scares me. From what I know, there does not seem to be a search of the canal currently.

I believe the area they are searching is because the mother is full of scratches as if she had been in a dense wooded area.

I noticed in the Moms tiktoks the wall behind her is stone- and she seems to be in a basement restaurant. The restaurants with that kind of structure are usually found in old montreal. And are quite reputable. It does seem like she did in fact work for a restauranta conglamorate as a Food and beverage manager. She seemed well put together and professional when she wasn't breaking down in tears on her videos. The area looks very much like a restaurant that would be on st Paul street

In an article published this morning, Montreal newspaper La Presse indicates that the search is mostly focused in an area of about 1 square kilometer along highway 30 where the dog was found. Other objects connected to CB’s disappearance were also found in that area (no mention of what these objects might be). LE is now asking anyone with a dashcam that was driving on highway 40, a little further to the north, between Montreal and the Ontario border on Sunday to review the footage for possible sightings of RT’s Ford Escape.

It is the only store in that general area other than a gas station and convenience store that services the campground on the SE corner of the junction of st. Emmanuel and autoroute 20. Both would have been open at the time. The fireworks store and gas station are on opposite sides of the overpass.

I highly doubt that she would have disappeared on the SE side as it is a very busy campground and a 3 yr old by herself would have been found very quickly.

If she was travelling from east to west on the autoroute ie. From where the dog was found, the fireworks store is closer and much easier access from the highway. It is immediately to her right when she exits the highway. She would have had to cross over the overpass to get to the south side and the gas station, a longer distance. I think this may be why.

Who is the intended audience of her posts? Lots of them feel angry and vengeful.

Her Instagram shows that was her job at a bistro in old Montreal, but last post was in 2022. With Matt being a chef, maybe that’s how they met. Their restaurants were just a 5 minute walk from each other.

Interesting. There are no road signs for St. Polycarpe on autoroute 20 from the east that I can think of until you get to the exit off the highway to west of St. Emmanuel. However there are several from the east on highway 340 between Vaudreuil Dorion and St. Emmanuel.

Makes me wonder if she came down highway 340 from the east instead of the autoroute which is the most direct route from Lasalle and Montreal.

It is possible that the activity is locals on ATVs as there is a popular ATV trail that runs parallel to highway 340 from vaudreuil in that direction.

This isn’t true re: psychosis. Especially not if it was due to bipolar. This is stigma. She only started her account in Dec 2024. The prodromal period of psychosis is often more subtle and people around her may have thought she was just being a bit unusual or in some kind of distress. Over time it worsens and may have driven her leaving her job (idk how long ago she left). Not all people with psychosis behave erratically 24/7

Hey, I can get behind that perspective. There is so much we do not know at this point.


Top priority is to find that child.

No doubt. Speculating on her mental health probably won’t help us to find CB much to be fair. Other than the fact that Rachel, if fully psychotic and not in control of herself, would have made unusual decisions on where to go. Still, the purposeful events leading up to the disappearance suggest she had at least some awareness of a plan that I hope she will share with the police, but I feel at this point that’s unlikely
