so thankful she was found alive!! should be interesting to see how this all comes to light!

I’m extremely relieved that they found her alive. I can’t wait to hear the full story. I live in Ottawa and I go to St. Albert all the time to buy cheese, so this is an area that I know very well.
I know the area well too. There is going to be a press conference later this afternoon.

WOO HOO!!!!!! I am so excited - so glad to be wrong about what we all feared!! Now, as Mr. Harvey would say, we wait for "the rest of the story!"

Three years old. Alone. Healthy. Missing 3 days. Walking along a highway. I hope she has the language skills to explain where she has been since Sunday.

"A drone spotted CB by the side of Highway 417 near St. Albert, Ont., just after 3 p.m., according to Quebec provincial police. She was alone but seemed healthy. It was the Ontario Provincial Police who found the girl. "

That’s amazing. What a strong little girl.

OPP are amazing.

I’ve always said one doesn’t want to be the victim of a crime in Quebec sadly. I have zero confidence in the police forces in Quebec

I really want to know how this all went down and what if anything the SQ missed. I’m sitting on my hands for now but I obviously have concerns about how this entire investigation unfolded

For now I am jumping up and down at this amazing news!!

Could you link to the likely site when you have the info? I'm not local but I would like to watch online if possible.

What incredible news.

I too suspect the child has not been wandering alone for three days. Maybe the pressure of rising media attention, or perhaps the identification of the woman with the apron, has persuaded whoever had her to let her go??

''Quebec police say she was found alone around 3 p.m. by Ontario Provincial Police along Highway 417 near St. Albert, Ont.

Quebec Sgt. Éloïse Cossette says Ontario police used a drone to spot the little girl near the highway.

Cossette says the girl was conscious and able to speak with officers.

Quebec and Ontario police are expected to hold a joint news conference later today.''

So glad that CB is safe. This whole thing is giving Sherry Papini vibes - JMO. Feels like a falsified or manufactured situation to get attention.

Sounds like someone was harboring her and got nervous and dumped her there.

Now this is what I think of when people tout tech for good! Drones allowing searchers to cover more ground more quickly.

  • #295
all I can do is wait for the upcoming presser. So so many questions. Hoping at least a few will be answered today.

I'm so glad to hear this outcome! I wonder how much explanation we'll hear though. Maybe only if the abandonment charges stick?

  • #298
For those of us not familiar with the area, could someone figure out the distance between where she was reported missing and the place she was located?
Thanks in advance!

Considering that the mother abandoned the dog in the highway where it was hit, CB may have been there by the road throughout.

What a terror, and what a relief that she is safe.

i am not an expert but looks like a narsisist.
Why do you think that? I got the impression she was dealing with (or thought she was) a narcissist hence the hashtag.
