I will try. <modsnip> How the hell do I fight it. Yes, with the truth.

This is a good a spot as any to take a break and maybe we can address some of those other issues in the meantime while questions are being compiled etc..

Nothing has simple explanations here and frustration can set in on both sides. I can't tell you how difficult it is for an outsider to fathom all of what went on and the depths of wrongdoing being uncovered just seems bottomless. No doubt you have had more than your fill too Ken.

Apologies my part, I'll give it a rest. I still hope for answers and maybe even new avenues to uncover new evidence.

Yes they were an elderly couple. As you know from the old A&E group. There wasn't two couples. The fifth estate episode was based on info from your hero Makin. As the mod stated, prove how you know they weren't elderly. I have time after time after time stated the facts. Woodland, if you know the elderly couple was unnamed, and you say that they didn't exist, how do you know they came forward after she was found... Explain that. Once again you are caught. One sentence, they didn't exist, next they came forward after my sister was found.
Your lies are painful. Misleading, and have no place here.

On thread #1 KJ reports an elderly couple came forward to Durham Region Police to report a sighting of a child being held down in a vehicle at Leslie Street and Ravenshoe Road - first time I heard that and I have not posted they didn't exist. Durham Region took over when Christine was found.

I admit - caught reading.

She was nine years old. She was not active. We had been abused. the abuse involving her ended years before we moved to Queensville. <modsnip> Where did you come up with this.
<modsnip>.

I got it from here...

http://www.thestar.com/news/gta/cri...rn-murdered-daughter-christine-all-over-again

Quote...She still has regular contact with her adoptive son Kenny. Kenny confessed in court that he and a neighbor had sex with his younger sister Christine several times...End of quote.

Going to stop posting and just read here for the near future.
See if anything develops.

MOD NOTE: Heads up, everyone. This is an open, true crime discussion board. Any WS member has the right to post comments or questions based on legitimate sources, i.e., MSM. There is no prerequisite for members to be informed on all points (no more than one member can be familiar with the sensibilities of all other members on the board). I understand some regular "Christine Jessop" posters have sent questions to Dedpanman, and Dpm has organized and compiled those questions. While somewhat irregular, in this instance I don't see a problem. However, it cannot preclude open discussion, and the usual rules apply here as in all threads. The options remain the same: ALERT if a post is deliberately offensive or violates TOS; implement the IGNORE feature if you'd rather not read posts from a particular member; or simply scroll on by. And always exercise common sense, courtesy and respect.

I’m still in the process of collecting questions and arranging them in order for KJessop.

I’m trying to keep the process as transparent as possible and as inclusive as possible.

Send me your questions.

If you want, I can post the list of questions so far.

Let’s give this a shot and see if it works, shall we?

If you want, I can post the list of questions so far.

Heyya Dedpanman.

That would be good.

I have attempted to modify and embellish the abduction theory based on information from KJessop. In places, I have made some speculations based on logic and basic human behaviour patterns. I present this new version for KJessop’s consideration. Any errors are my own. I welcome input to modify this further.

KJESSOP’s THEORY OF THE ABDUCTION (as sketched out by Dedpanman):

On October 3rd, 1984, Christine Jessop got off her school bus on Leslie Street at approximately 3:45/3:50 pm. She was most likely excited about her new acquisition – a plastic recorder (a whistle-like musical instrument) given to her that day by her school teacher. Christine picked up the mail and newspaper that had been left at the end of the driveway and went into her house. Once inside, she dropped the mail and her schoolbag. No one was home, as her brother Kenny and her mother, Janet, were out running errands. Shortly thereafter, Christine got onto her bicycle and rode south on Leslie Street to the corner store to get some gum.

Christine did not go to the park or intend to meet Leslie Chipman at the park because the two of them were not on friendly terms. Leslie Chipman’s claims that she and Christine had agreed to meet at the park with their Cabbage Patch dolls was, at best, a fabrication or a creative embellishment on her part. The fact that Christine’s doll was later found in her room at home indicates that she never intended to meet Leslie in the park. The doll was in Christine’s room the whole time and never left the house on October 3rd.

After purchasing some gum at the store, Christine rode her bicycle back to the house, at which point she encountered JP in a blue Oldsmobile waiting at the end of the Jessop driveway. Christine knew JP from the Co-op. She had encountered him many times. He was a friend of her father’s and he had sold them feed for her pet chickens which she kept in the backyard. Christine felt at ease with him. There was a certain amount of trust. After all, he was her father’s friend.

JP knew Christine’s father was in jail and he could clearly see by the empty driveway that Janet was probably not home. He likely asked Christine an innocent-sounding question to confirm that she was alone.

The opportunity he had been fantasizing about for some time had just presented itself.

JP spoke to Christine and likely told her that he intended to go visit her father at the detention center right then - and would she like to come with him? Christine leapt at the chance, but instead of getting into his vehicle immediately, she hurried into the house to get something, and in her hurry, she did not secure her bicycle properly in the back shed.

JP waited in his car for Christine at the end of the driveway, or, perhaps he drove up to the house. As he waited for her, his mind raced about what to say if Janet should arrive home at that instant. Just then, another school bus rumbled by heading north on Leslie street. On board, JP’s own stepdaughters glanced out the window and saw a blue car on the Jessop’s property. The car was also spotted by the bus driver – Mrs. Gibson.

Christine fetched her recorder from within the house to show her father and then got into the Oldsmobile with JP and they drove off together. Christine’s bicycle fell over on its own after they left, or it fell over during Christine’s hurried rush - her mind focused on soon seeing her dad. In her excitement, she did not think to leave a note for her mother.

As JP’s car pulled out onto Leslie Street, he headed north towards Ravenshoe Road. His mind was racing. He had done it - he had her – but now what? Where to take her? As he drove past his own house – he thought about his stepdaughters who would be home now, having just gotten off the bus. JP could not take her there.

He knew of many secluded places to the east where he could take her and do things and not be interrupted. The most direct route there: Ravenshoe Road.

As JP guided his Oldsmobile north, Christine would have become anxious as she knew this was not the way to go visit her father. He was located in a correctional facility to the south in Toronto. She knew the way. Something was not right.

Christine would have asked JP why they were going this way. JP probably would have attempted to lie - to allay her fears and maintain control of the situation. Depending on how good of a liar he was, Christine either accepted the explanation for the time being, or began to sense that she had made a big mistake getting into this man’s car and that she was in danger. Recent memories from school - of being warned not to get into cars with strangers may have begun to flitter through her mind.

As her anxiety increased, Christine probably asked JP to take her home – that she had changed her mind about going to see her dad. JP did not grant her request and kept driving, and at that point she knew she was in a bad situation. Christine may have demanded for him to stop the car and let her out right then and there. Again, JP did not do as she asked.

As JP’s car approached the intersection of Leslie Street and Ravenshoe Road it began to slow down to make the turn east, and at this point Christine may have attempted to open the car door and get out. JP had to control the car and control her at the same time.

At this point, an elderly couple at the same intersection witnessed this attempt by a man in a blue car to subdue a child in the front seat (Fifth Estate episode “Odd Man Out”).

In JP’s mind, panic was beginning to take hold. This wasn’t turning out like he had thought. The enormity of this situation suddenly overwhelmed him. She could never be allowed to go home. She could not be allowed to live and tell what he had done. And, it was still a long way to Sunderland.

Did he pull over to subdue her? A physical assault of some kind likely occurred. He struck her in the face...? Not necessarily. Autopsy revealed two blows to the upper part of her head (not to be confused with the massive facial injury). Or perhaps all of those injuries occurred at this point? Or, did he show her his knife and warn her about any further escape attempts?

At this point, Christine would have been completely overwhelmed with pain and completely subdued. She may not have been conscious. She was at his mercy.

JP continued east on Ravenshoe Road.

Around the same time (4:10 pm) Kenney and Janet Jessop arrived home and found Christine’s bike in a fallen state and the house empty.

Heyya Dedpanman.

I wonder, if JP had indeed entered the Jessop home, given the info about CJ's pink jacket being placed on a peg beyond her reach.

and at what distance the step daughters had seen the car,
what they actually could see.

I was abused from the age of 7-12, Christine was only involved one or twice, our abuser had us simulate things, I was 8. It didn't work for him. That star article is a load of crap. My mother regrets giving it. I disclosed I was abused shortly after we moved to Queensville. Then I came forward about Christine when Morin switched lawyers, and the crowns and police were at our house stating His new lawyer would say she asked for it. I told the police that she had been told directly by me that it was wrong and not to let anyone try to tell her otherwise. My father kept talking to me until the last day of the inquiry when I grabbed him by the throat and had to be pulled off him.
My abuser was 15, I was 7. And after I took the stand at the second trial I was branded a rapist. I was a badly abused child. I was passed around. I still am scarred emotionally, and physically. I tried to have him charged after the second trial, they didn't, the crown stated that because I was a large man, and my abuser was a small man, the jury wouldn't be able to picture me as a child.
The true story is that my abusers uncle was a Staff Sargent with the police. I raised a stink about the bs excuse, I had a visit from Fitzpatryk, And was told to drop it.
I did not have sex with my sister. To be blunt, I was 8 years old and could not achieve an erection.
Hope this clears this up and it is done.

I am so sorry for what you went through and I deeply regret that my comment led to you having to address it so openly. I, in no way, intended for that to happen. My only point was that the article was poorly written in terms of accurately conveying the situation so I understood how one could arrive at the wrong conclusion after reading it.

As I said, I did read it wrong but my interpretation didn't jive with the fact that you are such a welcome member here so I messaged someone more informed to get things straight. She explained that you were as much, if not more, of a victim as your sister in that situation.

Again, I am extremely sorry for your loss, the hell you went through in the years before & since and my part in causing you to address such a painful time.

Wow! Just wow! I live in Ontario Canada this is the first I have ever heard of this story!

Off to find some books to read now.. Which one is the most accurate?

Thank you KJessop for sharing on this board. I hope you have somehow managed to heal from your broken childhood :(

By the way... there were a few reasons for collecting questions this way:

I had the impression that some visitors to this thread were feeling reluctant to post their questions as they might provoke an emotional response. By collecting the questions and presenting them to KJessop this way – organized and anonymous – the authors of the questions are somewhat protected – and Ken himself doesn’t have to feel like he’s under attack with questions coming at him from all directions on a variety of topics.

If Ken feels frustrated by any of these questions, he can blow off steam my way. I was sort of volunteering to take the heat.

Also, I don’t see any point to running this like a Q & A like last time. Now it’s just a questionnaire... but that’s fine, I guess, but there’s less ability to control the flow of information and explore or clarify as things unfold.

Let’s see how it goes.

Here are the questions.

ABDUCTION SCENARIO QUESTIONS:

Did Christine have a house key, and did she use it to let herself into the house the day she disappeared?

Was the door to the house ever left unlocked – as was common practice in small towns during that time - and was it perhaps left unlocked that day?

Could you clarify this point? Is it correct that Christine’s bicycle was not actually damaged, it was just found in a fallen state?

In your opinion, did Christine walk to the store or ride her bicycle there on October 3, 1984?

Could JP have actually been in the house when Christine arrived back from the store?

Do you believe that Christine’s jacket was hung on the higher peg by the perpetrator? How sure are you about this point?

In your mind, is there any possibility that the jacket was innocently placed on the higher peg by someone else other than the perpetrator (a police officer/fire fighter/searcher) during that frenetic day Christine went missing?

Where did Janet usually park her car when at home and would it have been visible from Leslie Street?

Do you think that the perpetrator would know by the empty driveway that Janet was not at home that day?

Do you believe that GPM’s sister caught a glimpse of the perpetrator’s car that day? (Yvette Morin volunteered to be hypnotized about this but few useful details emerged.)

Are you sure that the Horwoods, and the couple at Leslie Street and Ravenshoe Road, are one and the same?

SUSPECT-RELATED QUESTIONS:

Do you suspect, or are you aware of JP’s involvement in any other homicides?

Do you have any ideas about why the suspect perpetrated such horrific injuries to Christine (decapitation, etc.)?

Do you think that JP hated your father and that had something to do with the horrific injuries?

Do you feel or suspect that the horrific injuries was because Christine cried too much, or was too loud?

Do you know if JP was covered in blood, or if he had any blood on him when he returned home late the night Christine vanished?

Are you aware of any information that JP cleaned himself up or changed into different clothes before returning home late that day?

In your opinion, what could be done, or should be done to prove or disprove JP's involvement in this crime?

Do you know if JP was cremated or buried?

Do you know where his remains are located (cemetery)? And, if so, are you willing to reveal that location?

Do you feel that there could there be a successful legal attempt at exhumation of his body in order to perform a bone DNA comparison to the sample taken from Christine's body?

CRIME SCENE/AUTOPSY QUESTIONS:

What’s your opinion of the “diatoms found in Christine’s bone marrow and the pink teeth evidence” from the first autopsy? (This suggested that she was drowned as a cause of death but those details were dismissed by the pathologist.)

Do you completely dismiss everything (facts/evidence) from the first autopsy? If not, what do you feel was correct, and what was totally wrong?

You have stated that Christine “was found legs splayed, sitting up, her head was balled up in her sweater,” and that “she had been decapitated.” Could you elaborate as to how she could have been found sitting up when she was described as mostly scattered bones by most accounts?

Exactly what evidence was there that Christine was decapitated? (Was there a report or photos taken at the time that Christine's body was discovered?)

Do you believe that attempts to remove other parts of her body occurred based on the bisection of the sternum?

Do you believe that the perpetrator was trying to dismember her for burial/disposal or to disguise the actual cause of death?

If one wanted to verify your description of how she was found, where would one have to look exactly?

Assuming that you have a copy of this report or trial transcript, would you be willing to post that description and its source?

OTHER:

In your opinion, looking back, did Christine spend too much time travelling around Queensville alone? If she did spend a significant amount of time alone, do you feel that could have made her a target for abduction?

Why do you feel that police buried evidence that pointed to JP as a viable suspect then?

Why do you feel that police continue to avoid looking at JP as a viable suspect today?

What do think their motivations are for this conspiracy?

What was the exact nature of the sexual abuse that Christine experienced by the brothers in Richmond Hill? Were you aware of everything that was done to her during this time, or did some things happen to Christine when you were not present?

Personally, I think this question is answered by the post it references, but here it is:
Why did you attack your father (grab his throat) as per your description in a recent post elsewhere: “The last time I saw or talked to my father was the day the inquiry results were released. When everyone with standing were waiting for their copies of the final report, my father found out he wasn't on the list, freaked, and in front of the press, police, etc. He had a childish fit... I walked him to the elevator and told him to settle down... He called me a name and I choked him by lifting him off the ground by the throat. I was pulled off by Metro cops.”

What do you think your father meant when he said: “I honestly think if it hadn’t been that day it would have been another.” Did he actually say that, or was that the invention of a clever writer?

Was Christine ever spanked or hit by her parents as a form of discipline?

Would you say that she had been abused physically by your father or mother at any point?

 • #152
First, I want to say to you Ken, thank you for your honesty and clarity.

I had read many years ago the confusing article from the Toronto Star which to me had incriminated you and GPM. In fact some people in LE believed that you were guilty.

I did not know you were with your mother when your sister was abducted, so had the perfect alibi.

My apologies to you for my mis-understanding.

I am sure you would like this case finally closed, and you firmly believe the deceased JP who worked at the feed store was the assailant.

From my understanding all that is required is some of DNA from JP, to compare with that that was found at the crime scene.

There are a number potential sources of JP's DNA.

1) a surviving blood relative
2) the exhumation of JP's body
3) A piece of hair, a sample of blood or similar body tissue that is available from JP.

No doubt JP's family has no interest or desire to assist in the supply of DNA.
However, disinterment can be ordered by a court with jurisdiction, or a coroner.

Now I believe you would have to have a lawyer apply to a judge to permit dis-internment and DNA testing. The lawyer, cemetery costs, and DNA testing would likely be at least $10,000.00

You could finance this by working with a book publisher/agent/author/newspaper by selling the rights to your story.

If most people like me who followed the case, came to the same assumption as I, then you have been living under quite a cloud for decades.

In regards to JP, what were his actions after your sister was found?
Did he leave the area? How soon after did he die?
What was the cause of his death?

Thank you

MOO

In regard all that other stuff not related the questions. Like having your name plastered all over the papers saying you had sex with your sister and all that.. They say you can't unring a bell and they say you can't just go back out through the in door, but you can counter with truth. I think you are seeing that at work here, I believe that takes over and undoes all the wrongs in the end. Just asking people to not say those things and to delete all references just holds it over for the next person to find some old obscure news report and ask the same again. The cycle just repeats.

No one says it is a nice situation for anyone to be in, addressing it head on might just be one of the only ways to get beyond it. I saw that in action here, I accept it.

Out at my end of the country a teen girl committed suicide over a mistake she made while very young, talked into showing her chest on a web cam to someone over the internet. The pictures were posted, she was blackmailed, bullied, harrased, teased and life altered irretrievably. It became too much and Amanda Todd took her own life. You survived to fight your battles another day Kenny, and you have come through.

All these posts and all the explanations we have heard and accepted here will show up first and foremost on any internet search from now on. They will come ahead of and take over from any and all of the old bs. The scars will remain but this part is done and over with imo. Perhaps some young person some where someday will find inspiration in all of this to hold on another day themselves in hopes they too can over come whatever has been laid on them by circumstance beyond their control.

No one says that means you must be a saint now either. We are all human and all that entails you know.. By the same token, no one says you have to hold all the answers to your sisters murder either. There are facts to be kept straight, and there are perceptions that are subjective and open to interpretation. Differentiating that is a job made more difficult with the passing of time.

I know everyone wants the same thing here and I truly hope everyone makes the most of what may be the last and best chance to find the truth for Christine. Lets just bury the hatchets and find a way to get on with it..

Not to muddy waters, just a proviso: we need to separate out in our minds critically from KJ what he can possibly know first hand (e.g. that he was with his mother) what he has read or heard from sources that we too are privy too (e.g. Kaufman) what he is in a position to have special info on or even a hunch about etc.

We don't need a taxonomy but as I read through the questions just to note they seem to combine all of these scenarios and more. But it is all good.
DPM on limited internet so can you add

1. Was the house searched first night by LE house and what adjacent properties?
2. Does KJ have an opinion as to the behaviour of the skulking dog? I have asked a few dog experts and for what it is worth it would never get into a court of law they think it is meaningful and could mean "the dog knows the perp".

Also above I took Ms point to be that the perp could have quickly attacked Christine even in minutes at home then removed her not that she was "prostituted" unless I am still misreading.

Long ago I asked as the house searched for this reason it does NOT necessarily mean I was pointing towards family there are other scenarious there - now someone here told me no it was not (WL?) but I believe I read it Kaufmann it was K's opinion would be super valuable there!!!

DPM sorry not usurping your idea travelling and can delete this later if needbe thanks.

No doubt Ken's information and opinion is most valuable but as said, he can't possibly know everything and the onus should not be placed on him to have to provide answers to everything. Some things of factual nature I believe can be found and accepted from all reports unless advised otherwise. The moderators have said we should carry on with public discussion too during this time while waiting for the questions to get answered.

From my understanding, the Jessop house was thoroughly searched the first nite and outside searches began spreading out in a radius from around the house. At first they did look at the Jessops suspiciously questioning if they had created some sort of hoax to aid Jessop Sr. into getting released from prison.

The dog you speak of is an interesting point, assuming you are speaking of the strange dog that led the neighbors and their dog to finding Christine's remains. I have suspicions on that as well and possibilities run through my mind. Court admissable dog behaviour profiling, hmmm it may become a science someday, dogs aren't so good of liars as we humans, rarely stage evidence, so can almost always be trusted. Interpretation though...individual per dog or common throughout all??

Thanks Orora for the info about the search. Could you do me a huge favour and read my post 38 on this thread and comment on the first part about the snow forecast, day of the year of the find in tandem with the possible later manipulation of the site (the pile of bones) etc.

KJessop began answering at that point and my point got swamped though I won't be offended if anyone ignored because it seemed pointless or now thinks it pointless. Thanks.

So have I got this right a strange dog alerted the "farmer's" (?) dog to the remains? Anyone know what kind of dog? (Sorry wish I could get to the texts on this again can't completely right now read far in the past).

It is just possible that we can find out something essential about the perp in this case from the manner time mode of discovery. Someone has pointed out to me elsewhere that the trailer break-in could have been an attempt to to force discovery the dog then being another attempt.

Chorley, As you know there has been some dispute over the autopsy reports and how things were actually found at the scene let alone what may have caused them.

I believe you are correct about the storm and that it was not some freak upwelling but part of a normal weather pattern well known to forecasters and likely predicted and publicized well in advance.

By all indication Christine's remains were left overnight during the storm but guarded. Seems they were not well protected from the elements during that time. The small pile of bones could have different meanings according Ken / W etc..

It is a slightly different way of looking at the scene but I too question all the coincidence. The screams back near the first night, the trailer breakin and vandalism that either brought the Police right to the scene or which could have been a deliberate attempt to do so, the dog that lured the farmer their dog and his child over to investigate, all coincidental to the last day without snow. The dog was supposedly never seen again and as far as I could find, no description of that dog exists in publicized reports. That "ghost dog" is most interesting..

I also find it of interest in that same vein how Ken would have some psychic premonition and dream that his sisters bones had not all been collected. I would have suggested a hynosis session may provide more information in regard the killer but not everyone believes in that sort of thing. My own imagination suggests if some power or familial attachment was behind the premonition about the bones, the same source may have indicated who the killer was if known.

Its all relative and worthy of discussion imo Chorley, I just don't have any real good answers for it all. sorry, in time we may yet get some additional insights from all those questions.

added- this is a short news clip showing search efforts immediately after Christine's disappearance. Looks like a viable fairly well organized grid search underway to me.

Orora - do you a link to Christine's remains being left overnight during a storm after she was found? Have not read that before - it's my understanding she was taken away before the storm arrived.

 • #159
Chorley8 - have not commented to you or anyone on a search of the Jessop home the night CJ went missing.

 • #160
I could search out the link but my impression was that Christine had been left outside but guarded as the storm moved in, then removed as it hit but I am unclear how much of the weather sytem had actually arrived at the time of removal. The crime scene itself was left to the total effects of the elements as far as I recall, not even tarped. If I have any of this wrong go ahead and correct, it is not my intention to leave any misinformation. thnz for the reminder..
