Mother and 2 children missing from Longueuil; could be anywhere between Quebec and Manitoba

Claudine Runanika Kajabika, 48, and her eight-year-old twins, Florence and Florentine were reported missing on Tuesday.

''MONTREAL -- Longueuil police (SPAL) is asking for the public's help to find a mother and her two daughters.

Claudine Runanika Kajabika, 48, and her eight-year-old twins, Florence and Florentine, were reported missing on Tuesday.

Police say they believe the three are travelling via public transit and could be anywhere between Quebec and Manitoba, where the family had lived for two years.

The police force notes family and friends are worried about the missing mother and children.

“The kids were supposed to be in school and the father doesn’t know where they are, so he’s worried,” said Jean-Pierre Voutsinos, a spokesperson for Longueuil police. "We’re still trying to figure out why she left.”

Runanika Kajabika has black hair and brown eyes and is 1 metre 60 cm tall and weighs about 80 kg.

Both the girls are described as having black hair and brown eyes.

They are each 1 metre 52 cm in height and 30 kg in weight.

Police say the family, who moved to Canada five years ago, is not known to police.''

Anyone with information is asked to contact 911 immediately. The force has not issued an Amber Alert for the family.''

It's states they emigrated to Canada 5 years ago. I presume they came to Canada from a Francophone African country.

I wonder if they are having trouble settling down? Not getting on with the weather? Can't find a job? There are all manner of things.

Going from place to place across Canada with 2 kids sounds desperate and lonely.

I do hope one of them calls someone to tell everyone they are OK (or not OK?)

Hmmm. So they were reported missing Tuesday. There's a lot of pertinent information that hasn't been disclosed, imo. Why?

What was going on leading up to Tuesday's MP reports? When, where and what time were they last seen and who was the last person to see them? Are their clothes and belongings still at home? Are suitcases missing? Has anyone checked with the girls' school to find out what day they last attended? Did Claudine & the girls live with the father? Where was he Tuesday, or whatever day he last saw them? Why do police believe they're traveling via public transit? Were they captured on camera? We're going to need more info, LE.
