Strange this posting never went any further than the initial post.
He is still missing, despite numerous initial searches, and nothing further was done. Very difficult to search when there is absolutely nothing known.
Rumours circulated that he often walked the dogs in a remote area within the town. Areas known to duck hunters, etc, and areas with thick bogs. Some wondered if he fell into a bog and was simply sucked underneath, possibly causing the dog leash to snap.
The usual rumours in all missing person's of marriage issues, depression, medication etc etc, and none of this was clarified by LE. The only thing ever stressed was that he would not have left the dogs to wander aimlessly.
As a dog walker myself, I don't find it unusual to leave the house without id or wallet contents, it's something you do a couple of times a day, often the same route, there is no need to bring anything other than a doggy bag, a tin of water and out the door. Would the dogs have stayed with him, if he ran into difficulty? Maybe not, they did this walk daily, they probably knew the route very well, although they were not found near home, but in the town.
He would be 63 yrs old now.
If anyone knows anything call.
