Human remains found in wooded area in Espanola: OPP
The Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police says it is investigating the discovery of human remains in Espanola.
''On April 18, at approximately 11:40 a.m., members of the Manitoulin OPP responded to a call about the discovery of human remains in a wooded area in Espanola.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been determined, police said in a release.
The investigation continues with the assistance of the North East Region Crime Unit, OPP Forensic Identification Services, and the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.''
