Found Deceased Canada - Finnigan Danne, 12, Hamilton Ontario, 6 August 2016

:( Just saw this on my FB feed and come here to see he's already been found, deceased, in an area where nearly everyone says was already thoroughly searched. I agree, it doesn't make a lot of sense unless he was put there, after the area was searched.

Possible, or he crawled further into the culvert than searchers could see. I wonder if the K9 team(s) searched there specifically or if anyone actually shone a light (more than a flashlight) in it between the time he was reported missing yesterday morning until the actual Amber Alert went out.

Which makes me believe that he was placed there later.
I wonder if the perpetrator panicked once the Amber Alert was issued.

I hate having to type and ask this but are there sex offenders locally? I hope and pray this isn't what has happened here.

In Ontario (not sure if it's all of Canada), the public don't have access to a sex offender registry.

Mom is single. I certainly hope that no one took advantage of her to get access to her son. No doubt she was doing everything possible to take care of her kids.

I can't imagine what she is going through. I wish I could give her a hug in person.

CP24 just showed interview with a neighbour/searcher who stated that the culvert was searched and no stone was left unturned in that area since many kids love to play in that culvert.

Nick Dixon just called the area a "crime scene" live on CP24.

I live in Markham, north of toronto, there were torrential rain on Friday. I got caught in it while picking my boys up from daycare. There was some hail 2 blocks north of where I was. Rain lasted about 30 minutes and it was pouring really hard.
I'm not sure what to think.
RIP finnigan😢😢😢😧

Nick Dixon just called the area a "crime scene" live on CP24.

CP 24 live at 10:00pm: The anchor pointed out the timing of the Amber Alert, that was called by police a day and a half after Finn went missing.

Reporter Nick Dixon responded that he spoke to an investigator prior to the Amber Alert being called off: " (the investigator said) the Amber Alert was issued because the investigation was leading them down that path. That typically means there's some sort of abduction and it's not just that somebody's sort of walked away or run away. There's no suggestion that Finn ran away from his home, it seems he walked away..." (I typed that verbatim).

The camera panned out to a few officers with flashlights carefully examining an area close to where Finn was found, Nick Dixon saying that it seems to be an area of interest as they've been carefully processing it.

This is sounding less and less like any sort of accident. :(

I agree. It is very sad indeed I hope Finnigan had some happiness in his short life despite the challenges he faced physically. I wonder if he experienced any bullying at all from youths in the community due to his disability and being different.

By Jon Wells
.

His body was discovered off Sullivans Lane, a street about 100 paces from Finnigan's townhome.
Police would not confirm what was being reported by some neighbours and the media: that he had been found near a tiny creek, and either near a culvert or inside it.

But to those who searched it made no sense: they had already searched that area, at least twice, including right in the creek and culvert.

And, indeed, that afternoon Hamilton Police had sent searchers three kilometres afield, confident the immediate area had been combed-through — and even though Finnigan was unlikely to have gone far on his own power; he had a neuromuscular disorder, had limited mobility and walked with a limp.

That is likely why police issued an Amber Alert at about 3:30 p.m., which suggested they believed the thin, four-foot-two inch boy who weighed just 60 pounds had been abducted
.

It's unclear if homicide detectives were there because foul play is suspected, or simply because they respond to sudden death calls, or if the Amber Alert was a factor.

How did Finnigan Danne die? Autopsy scheduled, investigation continues
Danne family also lost everything in house fire 10 years ago

Danne and his father, Neil, were in the back room of a Duke Street apartment when Neil smelled smoke. He'd been calming his son, then two, after an epileptic seizure, according to a 2006 Hamilton Spectator article.

Neil Danne went into the living room and found the couch on fire, and his three-year-old son Sebastian unaccounted for. At the last moment, Sebastian came up the stairs from the basement, and the father grabbed both boys and "ran for our lives out the back door," the paper reported.
