Boy, 7, missing after mother found dead on beach near Fort Qu'Appelle campground

Greagan Geldenhuys has blond hair and a slim build. He was last seen Friday afternoon in the Fort Qu’Appelle area, according to an RCMP news release.

His mother, 47-year-old Tamaine Geldenhuys, was found dead Saturday afternoon on the beach. Police say investigators “have not found any evidence to support foul play” in her death.

So they believe that Greagan was with his mother when she died or soon before. So either she dropped him off somewhere shortly before but they don't know where, or he was there when she died. Weird...

Possibly her cause of death was drowning.

According to her FB, she suffered from MD. Her FB is so upbeat and positive? I always take FB with a grain of salt. Praying they find that little boy. If she drowned, I'm scared for him.

I really hope he wasn't in danger of drowning himself and she went in after him and they both perished. Hope they find the lil one unharmed (physically).

I live in Fort Qu’Appelle, this entire case has shocked our whole town. This beach is right next to a campground and Tamaine’s body was found close to a spraypark on the beach. A lot of people have lakeside homes around these lakes, and boating is very common too. Drowning is very a probable cause.

This case scared me in particular, because I was just playing on the beach and in the water with my 7 year old on Friday.

Why are they searching all three lakes if his mom was found at Echo lake? And if she drowned how did she end up on the beach?

I hope little Greagan is found safe in any case.

Because the lakes are all connected by very fast- flowing rivers.
