GUILTY Canada - Guang Hua Liu, 41, found dismembered in Toronto area, 10 Aug 2012

If the children are with their father ...
that must indicate the father is not likely the man who rented the hotel room (the owner/clerk could give a description) OR the other Huang brother (identificable by fingerprints). Although in the press conf today police did say they could not comment on whether the father/ex is a suspect (I'm sure he is a POI!) the fact that the kids are currently in his care now must mean that there is not sufficient eveidence at this point to connect him.

Myself, I now longer feel as strongly about the Huang brothers as possible perps. But I do wish I knew more about Ms. Liu, her interests, her relationship with neighbours, whether she was dating (online or not) and more about her business....

Just wondering what, if any, custody/financial/visitation arrangements exist, and where the kids were at the time their mom disappeared on the Friday.

So not the man who had room #39 for 1 hour?

:waitasec:

I wonder what led them there.

I'm thinking just the fact that a lone male checked in for only an hour was enough for them to get a warrant and search the room. It seemed strange to me that the perp would dump the remains so close to where he was staying and then drive 20 minutes away and dump the rest so far away in Mississauga.

Maybe her spa was a nail salon, waxing, etc? That was my first thought but the police called it a spa which makes me think of massage, etc.

Maybe that hotel room was the scene of the crime (not the place where the body was dismembered) and the murderer wanted to make sure he hadn't left anything behind? Perhaps after the news broke about the discovery in the Credit River he still had more evidence to dispose of and he panicked and thought police might come to his house/business to search/question him? If that's the case then I guess he didn't have enough time to drive to another waterway elsewhere.

I'm picking up what you are laying down...and after listening to the questions asked following the statement they said the spa is near eglinton & kennedy.

That might help to narrow it down.

But, you're right - it may have been nails - that also might thin the herd sts.

Lots of stuff here:

Liu, a Canadian citizen, had one adult and two younger children, Koekkoek said, and lived in a townhouse on Huntingwood Dr. The unit is near creek by the Tam O’Shanter Golf Course, where some of the body parts were found in Scarborough on Saturday.

Neither she nor her spa was known to police, he said.

Her remains had been in the water for five to seven days, he said.

A neighbour on the cul-de-sac of attached two-storey townhouses with garages and gardens said Liu often used the name Heather.

The neighbour, who would only give her first name Jenn, said Liu had a tenant and one son living in the unit with her.

Another neighbour, Lillian Lantz, said Liu had a boarder who lived in the basement and she lived with one son.

Liu also had a boyfriend named Ken who reported her missing to police, Lantz told the Star.

She said Liu was a manicurist at the spa.

She did nails. Who did this to her?

When asked about what search warrants have been executed?

"we have executed search warrant but these are all in relation to identifying the victim. we are working on suspect information at this point we're not in a position to release where we are as far as that goes..."

I thought I heard or read that her apartment was searched too. Where is the boarder?

I honestly wasn't getting at anything. I was just confused about the spa being closed down and then they say she was seen at her place of business. Did she go back to the spa to get some of her belongings or did she start a job somewhere else?

Assuming she was still the owner/renter, not unreasonable to assume she checked in on the place at some frequency?

The list of possible suspects is endless at this point without further information, in my opinion.

It could be someone who may have had a grudge, someone close, an acquaintance or some freak who was obsessed with her. I just hope LE knows more than they're saying.

Video showing L. with what looks somewhat like discolouration on arms, jmo.Tattoo removal?scarring?
Also, in second video same link, two men are found dead in car at side of road , could that be connected to motel search, or L.?

I imagine the friends who are among the last people to see her alive must be questioned for info on her state of mind, anxieties or worries she may have had, motive for going to the business that day, whether she was expecting to meet someone, etc.

Gruesome that some body parts still remain missing. Where did the monster dispose of the rest?

Closest I could find is "Enchanting Nails & Spa" at 295 Eglinton Avenue East. Looks like a nice neighbourhood.

I wonder if she could've been going to the business to meet her former employer?

The discoloration on her arms looks like Vitiligo, IMO.

Since the spa is now defunct, how do we know that it's still there and named as it was? How do we know it hasn't become an ice cream place, anything other than a spa of sorts?

CP24 said she went to her place of business, a spa, which is now defunct
I don't recall them saying whether it was vacant or not

It appears on TV as if the business is empty
Nothing in there

Omg, "Forget Me Not" - I saw that name when I was searching around the area of Eglinton & Kennedy. I figured the spa might be around there, since she could easily get to Huntingwood & Kennedy (where police say she was seen) from there. So it was "recently" defunct. I wonder why the spa closed? Maybe she was having money problems? Did she have a business partner? So many unanswered questions...
