More than 50 searchers, including divers and sniffer dogs, are in the park. They're currently focusing their search near the bridge where body parts were found earlier. Police say it will still take a few days to cover all the ground between Dundas St. and Burnhamthorpe Rd.
Searchers have found several pieces of clothing but cannot yet confirm the articles are related to the case.
Tudos said there are only a few walking paths in the search area. He also said that Peel's cadaver dog is dog tired and needs a day off, so investigators have secured loaners from Hamilton police and the OPP.
Today's search efforts will continue until about 8 p.m

That is possible. And depending on the condition of the parts found, perhaps they were able to obtain prints?

Possible connection to North East Toronto.
Toronto police have contacted Peel Regional Police about the ongoing search of a Mississauga park and river where human remains were found, after a "suspicious" discovery was made in Toronto.

Police in Toronto have found something in the area of Kennedy Road and Bonis Avenue, in the city's northeast, about 50 kilometres away from the Credit River in Mississauga. The coroner has been called in to determine if the discovery is human remains.

Police continued on Saturday to search Hewick Meadows Park near Highway 403 and Mississauga Road, where the parts were found.

"This is pretty horrific," Const. George Tudos said.

"It's not something that is common at all within our jurisdiction. It's one of the most horrific findings that we've had, especially when it's numerous body parts.

"We've come across human remains, but nothing like this — not at this magnitude. It's hard on the officers.”

From the Toronto site discovery (possibly related to the Credit River parts discovery):
Cameron Janes said he came across what looked like a chunk of ham when he was looking for golf balls along the edge of the creek. When he noticed bones sticking out, he took two pictures with his cellphone and rushed up the bank to call 911.

“The smell was unbelievable and there were flies all over it,” said Janes.

“It just looked like it had been cut with a hacksaw.”

From the same article as above and possibly related to the Credit River discovery:

Janes found what he thinks is a part of a human leg about 1.5 metres in front of where the creek runs under Cardwell Ave. He could see two bones sticking out of it, he said, and it appeared about the size of a calf area of the leg. It was brownish in colour.

It was found on a rock at the edge of the creek, he said.

“The stains on the rocks just made it look like it had been there a while,” said Janes.

Police came immediately and taped off the area, he said.

Tudos said up to 50 officers will continue searching "until we find it all."

Some officers on foot, in boats, and wading or diving into the river suffered sprained ankles and wrists, many are tired, weighed down by long-sleeve shirts, pants and heavy gear.

Two Ontario Provincial Police dogs arrived Saturday, after Peel's grew weary after two days, he said. "Their paws got very tender."

Tudos said officers must examine trash they keep finding, including hats, scarves, gloves, shoes, flip-flops "and a lot of clothing."
