Canada - Gursimran Kaur, 19, Walmart worker found dead inside bakery oven - October 22, 2024

Or a malfunction
So far we’ve heard it was working properly—
““In a statement Monday, a department spokesperson said the order was lifted “after the oven was assessed and determined to have been operating as per the manufacturer’s requirements.””

If no one else is involved, she must have either set the timer (if there was one) or turned it on herself before going in, imo.
i see where you are going with this...my question is if you are in a state of mind to do THIS to yourself would you disposition kind of give your work mates a question in an are you ok kind of wonder... i cant see her coming into work happy and bubbly and setting the oven to bake her...just a thought

It may have been user error, or self-harm, imo.

It sounds counterintuitive, but when people choose to take their lives they can seem to be at peace or happy because they have found a ‘solution’ to end their pain.

(This is in general, we don’t know what happened yet.)

The police said no one else was involved. My guess is they know that because of cctv footage.

On February 3rd, the store reopened. The Department of Labour is still investigating. From the CBC:

“Walmart remains in contact with Kaur's family and will consider ways to honour the young woman, who was remembered as a kind person with a gentle spirit by those who knew her.

"Three months is still very recent for that magnitude of a tragedy," Ritcey said. "We'll continue to be in contact and make sure that we work out the best situation possible with them."”

I have to wonder (and maybe hope) that the police are releasing deceptive information about foul play not being involved in order to make a person of interest let their guard down and/or do something that helps lead to Justice for Gursimran - if Justice is warranted.

good thought...but everything ive read so far points to it being impossible to lock yourself in as the door has to be pushed and clicked....but if it does not click havent read anything that says the oven will start regardless the sets are on the outside

i sure hope you are right... i may have missed it but nowhere have i seen any photos of father and brother... now there has been talk of her putting up with her paternal uncle in India before coming to Canada....

"Gursimran, who had since then been putting up with her paternal uncle, Gurvinder Singh, in Jalandhar before moving to Canada, was hopeful that her father would join them in Canada, where they would eventually all settle down." from The Tribune in India
