"A “suspicious” house fire in Aurora is now the scene of a suspected murder.

York Regional Police say the flames erupted in the home on Edward St. — near Yonge and wellington Sts. — shortly before 1 a.m. on Saturday. “When officers arrived they found the house was fully engulfed (in flames),” Const. Andy Pattenden said.

He said firefighters doused the fire and were able to enter the home shortly after 2 a.m. Once inside, they located a lifeless body, believed to be that of an adult."

"A woman has been charged with second degree murder following a fatal house fire in Aurora, Ont. on Saturday, York Regional Police say.

The woman, 36, from Aurora, is being held in custody and is due to appear in court on Sunday. Homicide detectives arrested the woman on Saturday.

Police believe the body found in the house is that of a man who has not yet been identified...

Police said in a news release on Sunday that the victim's identity will be confirmed once a post-mortem is completed."

So we still don't know the names of either the victim or the perp.

it takes a cold, callous heart to murder someone in that fashion
should be first degree IMO
