Circumstances of Disappearance:
MacDonald was last seen departing from Thompson Airport at 4:30 p.m in his Mooney Mark M20D plane on December 7, 1971. He was the sole occupant of the four-seater, single-engine prop aircraft, bound for Winnipeg. He never arrived to his destination. Despite intensive air searches, neither MacDonald nor his aircraft have been located.
