And getting supplies (food and gas) takes money. Where the heck are they getting money?
From their savings. You know, the Walmart jobs for five weeks.

Yep! Only way to buy 4 L/1 gallon of milk in Ontario and points east. We have 1 and 2 L cartons too.
That's a good quote.Former FBI profiler, John Douglas has written extensively about spree killers.
Here’s a solid quote that differentiates these guys from the other types.
“A serial killer expects to get away with it, a mass murderer doesn’t, and a spree killer probably hasn’t thought that far ahead.”
If the unidentified victim had a credit card they could potentially be using that too and it would be harder to trace since he's unidentified
I had that same thought when a fellow poster just made me realize gas bar is a Canadian term. Who knew?

That amazes me. I’m in Ontario as well, and it’s always been a thing in my city, and I know it’s a Toronto thing as well. We live in a big country!I'm in Ontario
there is no bagged milk here
not for a long while
It makes a lot of sense. That's a good quote.
My thoughts on where they got money is perhaps they've been stealing things for awhile, in addition to while they're on the run. Also a good point they may be using cards or cash taken from their victims. In fact, I could see that being a strong enough reason for them to be named suspects, even if they can't be placed at the scene forensically yet.
Although the victim at Dease Lake may only be unknown to the public. Maybe LE knows who he is by now. And if they do, they can track the use of any CC which would be a positive. MOOGreat point. Would be a lucky break for them.
Never seen bagged milk here in MB, but I've seen it in T.O. and OttawaThat amazes me. I’m in Ontario as well, and it’s always been a thing in my city, and I know it’s a Toronto thing as well. We live in a big country!![]()

A serial killer does it for pleasure (generally), and wants to live to fight another day.
A mass murderer has a grievance, and expects to die, or will just give up after he’s done.
A spree killer is close to a mass murderer, but there’s a lot going on inside his head. With two of them, that’s an odd dynamic.
One would have probably killed on his own, and the other never would have done it if not for the influence of his friend.
What should happen at some point, is these two returning to an area where they are familiar.
Oh I’m sure.fascinating
I expect the RCMP have specialists who know all this and are profiling these two
Yes, it is. It's one that has interested me a lot over the years. With two of them, that’s an odd dynamic.
Yeah. One of them is driving this, not that it makes the other one any less culpable.Yes, it is. It's one that has interested me a lot over the years.
I'm curious which one of these 2 is the power behind the throne, so to speak. I see a lot more people who knew them talking about BS, so he might have been the more active member of the duo--or the more memorable But I also think KM seems less awkward in the handful of pictures I've seen of them.
Exactly! He still goes along with it on his own free will.Yeah. One of them is driving this, not that it makes the other one any less culpable.
.
Yeah that's true. I'm more familiar with the same-gender male duos (Leopold and Loeb, Hickock and Smith, Klebold and Harris) and one female pairing (Parker and Hulme), but it certainly does lend itself to male-female duos too.I’ve read about several cases like this that involved a boyfriend and girlfriend.
There’s lots of variations
