Yes but apparently she was not in the relationship any more and was having a some kind of relationship with DM.

Which creates a jealousy motive for both killing LB and framing DM.

I am not at all making an accusation against SL with this line of thinking, I just like to see every question asked and answered, and hope LE is exploring this angle too.

Things that don't make sense if DM was framed by SL/SL killed LB:
- Identification of DM's tattoos on first test drive
- Why would SL do a first test drive with the same vehicle as TB?
- SB is a witness to DM being present on test drive with TB, I would imagine she'd be able to rule out that it was SL and not DM
- SL would have to be aware of DM's property in Ayr to plant TB's body there (possible)
- SL would have to be aware of his mother's property in Klineberg to know to leave DM's trailer there (very unlikely IMO)
- SL would have to have access to DM's trailer to put TB's truck in it
- SL would be the driving force behind repeatedly trying to bring attention to a missing person's case which is not being taken seriously by police and not investigated as a homicide

If Laura has no passport, we know it is unlikley she left Canada.. IMO..

Do we know that she has no passport? I haven't read that anywhere, and with family/friends saying she could be in Vegas, I assumed that she maybe did.

I notice in that globe and mail interview with SL, he does acknowledge that she was going through some drug and mental health issues.

I hope they find her soon.

That solution addresses only a couple of the problems I posted though.

Has anyone else been able to find the link regarding Laura' passport? I've been searching high and low to no avail. I have even gone through all the comments on the Find Laura page.

I know I have read that she hadn't used her bank account or cc's. But can't find anything about a passport... I'm looking too will post if I can find anything.

I have a few questions though, now that I have been looking for info on a passport, some other things have come to mind.

I have seen various articles that say she was unreachable/not heard from by family/friends since June 30th or July 1st. But according to her records, she was using her cell phone until July 3rd. So, after June 30th/July 1st, was she just ignoring family/friends?

SL said he put her up in a hotel... what Hotel? was she supposed to still be in this hotel when she went missing?

Where are her belongings? if she was not living with her parents, didn't have a place to live, where were her clothes and personal belongings? where are they now?

Did she have a car? if she did, where is it? (I have not read anything that suggests that she did, I'm just curious)

I have a lot of questions. I have been reading over the weekend, but not a lot of time to post and put my thoughts together on this. JMO but it does sound like it's possible she was on a binge of some sort, or having a mental breakdown. In that scenario, there are lots of different possible outcomes, including something involving DM. I hope not, I hope it just all means that she said 'screw it' and left for a new life.

Dropping her dog off at her mom's gives me some hope that she is still alive. Most people don't know they are going to be murdered and proactively drop their animals off with family... they may if they are planning on committing suicide, or plan on leaving though. JMO

The one that really stood out to me was the having access to DM's trailer to put TB's truck in it. Not only would SL have to have known precisely where the trailer was at that point in time, he would have had to have the keys to unlock it, and the vehicle to tow it with to DM's mother's house. He would not have known that MB wasn't going to be home at the time he would have taken it there.

Highly unlikely any of that information would be available via the internet or through LB's personal data that was accessed.

Hmm. Won't they look kind of dumb when they say "oh, j/k, we DID find more remains after all?"

(Forgive me if this is actually a dumb question--I haven't followed many cases like this at all, and the majority of my time lurking on WS was during Jessica Ridgeway. I don't recall LE backtracking many times on that case (as long as you were careful to only listen to official LE sources).)

I'm just going off of the fb group for her and that's actually where I found the comment about the passport. It's a comment that was made on Aug 10th in a post. Also, take a look at a comment on Aug 2nd, they say her CC's have been checked as well.

I seen her aunt had removed her comments or they were removed for her. I cant help but wonder if taking off was something she's done before. Her family seems to think she's coming home and from the aunt's post it sounds like she thinks it has a lot to do with depression, or whatever hard time she was going through emotionally. Let's say she was in fact mentally unstable, would she really go this long with absolutely no money or contact from her family or anyone for that matter? Same thing goes for an addiction. I just cant see her not reaching out at some point in the past year, to anyone at some point. Someone had posted a screen shot of her phone bill in one of the TB threads and she had been making calls to other people and not just DM, it was the chunk of the calls at the end of the bill that were all to him. So up until the days leading up to the DM calls, who was she calling and trying to talk to?

One of those calls was to someone who knows someone close to SS. Sorry if it is a bit of a leap. We don't even know for sure if LB was the one calling. I am a newbie so hopefully this is okay.
