Sorry when did DM sell his grandparents home? Was it before or after this girl went missing? Sorry if this has been posted before

imo, it will be an update on the holes in the farm. They told they would share information, just not on the spot. What kind? We'll see and hear.

Wouldn't it be an update on the fact that they are investigating the link between DM and LB, and the results of searching the farm with GPR?

I've had some questionable info for some time and I guess I'll find out today if it was a reliable one, although I have little faith in it given the source.

I have no idea what they will say, I'm just hoping it's not bad news, but IMO LE doesn't usually hold pressers just to say all is fine and well in the world. KWIM?

They always leave behind the bones however. You'd need to incinerate them.

Actually...many farmers compost there dead stock (do a google search on the proccess) and even large steer bones and skulls can disapear after a while. The bury the steer/pig or other live stock in a pile of pig or cattle manure and let nature take its course. I have personally seen a whole cow almost totally disapear after only a few months. The large femor bones and skull can take longer but over over time everything is 100% composted.

This is the very reason that most of the bodies on the Picton farm were never found...there was nothing to find after the the form of natural composting!

With the combination of bacteria, heat and insects that are created it can become a very simple process that doesn't smell after a few months if not turned over (after 4 months it is recomended to turn the pile in order to re-introduce oxygen to the pile). This is a legal and major cost savings to many farmers as it now costs farmers to have a truck come in and pick up a dead cow and take it to a rendering plant (at one time the rendering plants paid the farmers but now it is the exact opposite).

IMO something is about to break as LE don't hold pressers with no new information unless it is to ask for the public's help. IMO they have found Laura.

Well, my source was worthless per the current news conf.

Who would have thought they would hold a press conference to say absolutely nothing.

It's almost like they came out just to say "yeah, we know, shut up about LB and WM".

ETA: After the resentment in that guy's voice any time anyone asked a question, I'm almost ready to get on board the anti-TPS train, as much as I hesitate to say anything negative about LE. Why hold a press event if it's just going to annoy you when people show up and expect information?

Thanks Karn..I haven't followed a lot of cases, so I don't know if there are certain procedures that LE follows with stuff like this. Can you tell things by the speed of info being released by LE? And, since it looks like you're a veteran here, you're probably a good one to ask about forensic tents. TPS didn't have any, yet HPS had a bunch. What kind of evidence doesn't require the tents?

Welcome MsSherlock! I wish I could answer your excellent questions!! I can't however. We've had a really wet spring so far and wonder if the tents might be related to that or to what they were searching for. TPS was using a sort of radar IIRC.

It really does not seem to be a big link between DM & LB, she called him, so what, doesnt mean he killed her, it seems that these phone records were only made light of since DM's arrest, maybe her ex bf just wants his minute of fame, and did not like DM ? LB lived a risky lifestyle being a sex trade worker, if you look at older pictures of her and new pictures, she appears to be "living the life". I almost think that this is all being sensationalized and made a bigger deal of because of DMs recent arrest and nobody is talking. THIS IS ALL MY OWN PERSONAL OPINION

I have dug something up after the presser.... does anyone happen to know LB's number that was on the records showing Dm's number. Before I post I want to be sure I have the right person here. Thanks

Aside of the tidbit about LB working in the sex trade industry and being an internet escort, nothing new was said. They did confirm she had been romantically involved with DM and that she had full contact with other persons after the last call to DM. Also, LB is considered a missing person but homicide has been called in to investigate, so that may be more information than it appears. Perhaps it is what wasn't said that is more important?

Only in Canada, eh?

Hey folks, nothing going on here, move along, move along... I don't think TPS likes being under the microscope. And there's apparently good reason for that, if they think that required a press conference. sigh

All MOO

What does that mean??:banghead:

I think it means there would have been no reason for his name to stand out from others at the time, but why didn't they follow up on all the calls? Because she was known to work in the sex trade industry?

I recall watching the phone record flash across a news update one evening showing DM's numbers...I wonder if anyone has a screen shot, showing her number....would be great to see what you have found :)
