Man wanted after allegedly trying to abduct 8-year-old girl near Toronto school
"Officers alleged the man grabbed the girl and covered her mouth before dragging her about 60 metres to what is believed to be a red Mazda CX-5 SUV with tinted windows.

He then reportedly tried to force the girl into the SUV, but she was able to break free and run away.

The suspect was described by police as being between 40 and 50 years old and five-foot-eight, and having a skinny build and short grey hair. He was last seen wearing a blue-and-pink t-shirt, grey sweat pants and black dress shoes.

Anyone with information was asked to call police at 416-808-3100 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-8477."

Correction, not an attempted abduction, rather- it is considered an actual abduction. rbbm.

"Toronto police Const. David Hopkinson says the girl was able to break free as the man was opening the door of the vehicle.

Hopkison noted that the incident is being investigated as an abduction instead of an attempted abduction because the man had the victim in his possession, as he dragged her to his car, before she was able to escape."

So thankful she got away! And that is pretty brazen to snatch her near a school with so many cameras nearby. I hope they are able to zoom in on the tag and ID this guy. Even if it is a work or rental vehicle, they’ll figure out who he is.

The dress shoes stood out for me too, who wears those with sweatpants?!
Either a fairly recent new resident to Toronto, or a guy leaving work, then slipping into sweat pants that he possibly keeps handy in the car, because.... and i hate to say this, they are easy to take off.
