Turns out the "Ross Confession" comment was fake. The real RA posted on his Face Book account yesterday addressing the "fake poster". <modsnip>
Saanich police said they believe a number of people have personal and first-hand knowledge of the killing and have withheld this information.
Saanich police have worked tirelessly with the RCMP and Victoria police in partnerships to achieve success. After 10-years of work, we regret that success has not been achieved to date in our investigation. As with other pre-planned and targeted murders, the perpetrators and/or conspirators have taken steps to avoid apprehension by police, the statement said.
The investigation is still active, with police working through tips from the public. Saanich police know two people went into the home with Lindsay 10 years ago, but haven’t found what they need to recommend charges or make an arrest.
“It’s a complex investigation as all homicide investigations often are. Sadly it has been 10 years and certainly we had wished we would have a quicker result for the friends and family of Lindsay Buziak,” said Saanich Police Staff Sgt. Chris Horsley.
There still isnt a day Jeff Buziak doesnt think of his daughter Lindsay.
She was murdered 10 years ago, on Feb. 2, 2008.
I made a promise to Lindsay when I held her in the morgue that I would not rest until the killers were arrested and exposed in the media. I remain undaunted until that happens, Buziak said.
Lindsay, a 24-year-old real estate agent, died in a second-floor bedroom of an empty house in Saanich, B.C.
rbbm.We firmly believe there is a reasonable size group that has knowledge. Those are the people we have always sought out and we continue to do so.
A walk in Lindsays memory will happen at the Royal Oak Memorial Park Gate at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 2.
The body of the realtor was found in an upstairs bedroom of a vacant $1-million Gordon Head home she had been showing on Feb. 2, 2008.
Police say she was lured there by an unknown couple and then stabbed multiple times.
No one has ever been arrested in connection with her murder.
For the past eight years, her father Jeff Buziak has travelled from Calgary to Victoria to hold a Walk for Justice to ensure Lindsays murder is not forgotten.
Good summary of the case, nice interview with Linday's dad in Pt2.

Hi Colette, I agree with your suspicions, but for the opposite reason. From what I gathered from Mr Buziak and other reports, it sound's like Lindsey wanted to break up with BF. The mom sounds like a 'do you know who I am' kind of person, a break up would have been an affront to the over sized ego. I also think Lindsey may have 'known too much'.Personally I think it was done by someone close who didn't want Lindsey to marry her boyfriend. Someone hired a professional for the job. My opinion.
Lindsay was very uncomfortable going to the house alone. Jason was suppose to be keeping an eye on Lindsay. In this article it states:
Ms. Buziak's boyfriend, Jason Zailo, who had made arrangements to meet her at the house, arrived with a friend around 6 p.m. to find the doors locked, Ms. Buziak's vehicle parked out front, and her shoes visible in the foyer of the house
Alarmed by the circumstances, Mr. Zailo called 911, but before police arrived he and the other man had gained entry to the house and discovered Ms. Buziak's body in an upstairs bedroom, Sgt. Fast said.
Sgt. Fast said Tuesday Mr. Zailo has been ruled out as a suspect and declined to provide details about any other persons of interest that investigators have identified.
The fact that he arrived with a friend (was this a planned rouse to keep out of the eye of suspicion), lived with Lindsay, so would see her later, hired a lawyer, all get my hinky meter revved up.
Wonder if he got any phone calls prior to heading to the house? Wonder a lot of things actually.
