Just wanted to stop by and see if there were any updates on this case. I recently saw it and am very curious as to what really happened. I know that many investigators have taken look at it, but, I just wonder if a large panel, like 10-12 EXPERIENCED experts would come up with any more ideas.

It's 10 yrs today since Lindsay was murdered. What are the SPD waiting for I wonder?

Saanich police said they believe a number of people have personal and first-hand knowledge of the killing and have withheld this information.

“Saanich police have worked tirelessly with the RCMP and Victoria police in partnerships to achieve success. After 10-years of work, we regret that success has not been achieved to date in our investigation. As with other pre-planned and targeted murders, the perpetrators and/or conspirators have taken steps to avoid apprehension by police,” the statement said.

Lindsay Buziak mystery: 10 years later, her father still seeks the realtor’s killers
By Richard Zussman

The investigation is still active, with police working through tips from the public. Saanich police know two people went into the home with Lindsay 10 years ago, but haven’t found what they need to recommend charges or make an arrest.

“It’s a complex investigation as all homicide investigations often are. Sadly it has been 10 years and certainly we had wished we would have a quicker result for the friends and family of Lindsay Buziak,” said Saanich Police Staff Sgt. Chris Horsley.

Wondering if any of the people complicit in the murder and cover up are haunted by the beautiful face of Lindsay Buziak? imo, speculation.
Stabbing a pretty girl in the face seems like an act of malicious jealousy, imo, speculation.

There still isn’t a day Jeff Buziak doesn’t think of his daughter Lindsay.

She was murdered 10 years ago, on Feb. 2, 2008.
“I made a promise to Lindsay when I held her in the morgue that I would not rest until the killers were arrested and exposed in the media. I remain undaunted until that happens,” Buziak said.

Lindsay, a 24-year-old real estate agent, died in a second-floor bedroom of an empty house in Saanich, B.C.

On 10th anniversary of the unsolved murder of Lindsay Buziak, police say multiple people continue to withhold vital information
Posted By: Ben O'Haraon: February 01, 2018

The body of the realtor was found in an upstairs bedroom of a vacant $1-million Gordon Head home she had been showing on Feb. 2, 2008.

Police say she was lured there by an unknown couple and then stabbed multiple times.

No one has ever been arrested in connection with her murder.

For the past eight years, her father Jeff Buziak has travelled from Calgary to Victoria to hold a Walk for Justice to ensure Lindsay’s murder is not forgotten.

I have read through the thread and a few thoughts keep running through my mind after reading everything ......

1. The person that hired these individuals had EVERYTHING to lose. It had EVERYTHING to do with the realty world. How easy it is to put up the front, but how hard it would be to conceal from other realtors. This was planned. There is a good chance that those 54 stab wounds were also planned. Let's make it look like a crime of anger, but anything OTHER than what it really is.

2. Lindsay had mentioned to others that she "knew things." This speaks to the reason why she was killed. Keep in mind that it only takes ONE of these conversations that she has with her friends, or maybe even someone listening in the next room, for the person that hired the hit to realize that Lindsay was "THIS CLOSE" to talking. She was a liability that had to be eliminated quickly.

3. Anyone that wants to commit a crime, but doesn't want to wander around covered in blood would wear 2 sets of clothing. Things that can quickly be pulled off and throw into a purse (just like a DRESS). Take a baby wipe, wipe your face ...done.

4. The fact there was never a car seen and the assumption they were picked up. Well, what if the reason you NEVER see a car was because there never was a car. The person that hired this hit was involved in the realty world. So, how do you quickly hide 2 suspects who need to disappear immediately before the police are called? Well, they simply go to the next EMPTY HOUSE for sale. Easy and quick. Or, the house of someone who is involved. Either way, it would be RIGHT there just waiting for them to run in the door. They can leave later in a car when things have calmed down.

5. All you need is to be prominent enough, to have prominent clients and boom ...... you aren't suspected. Too many people have too much to lose to let this go and get solved ......"Good Old' Boys Club Rules!

Someone ALWAYS knows something ......ALWAYS

Personally I think it was done by someone close who didn't want Lindsey to marry her boyfriend. Someone hired a professional for the job. My opinion.

Hi Colette, I agree with your suspicions, but for the opposite reason. From what I gathered from Mr Buziak and other reports, it sound's like Lindsey wanted to break up with BF. The mom sounds like a 'do you know who I am' kind of person, a break up would have been an affront to the over sized ego. I also think Lindsey may have 'known too much'.

In this article it states:

Ms. Buziak's boyfriend, Jason Zailo, who had made arrangements to meet her at the house, arrived with a friend around 6 p.m. to find the doors locked, Ms. Buziak's vehicle parked out front, and her shoes visible in the foyer of the house

Alarmed by the circumstances, Mr. Zailo called 911, but before police arrived he and the other man had “gained entry” to the house and discovered Ms. Buziak's body in an upstairs bedroom, Sgt. Fast said.

Sgt. Fast said Tuesday Mr. Zailo has been ruled out as a suspect and declined to provide details about any other “persons of interest” that investigators have identified.

The fact that he arrived with a friend (was this a planned rouse to keep out of the eye of suspicion), lived with Lindsay, so would see her later, hired a lawyer, all get my hinky meter revved up.

Wonder if he got any phone calls prior to heading to the house? Wonder a lot of things actually.
Lindsay was very uncomfortable going to the house alone. Jason was suppose to be keeping an eye on Lindsay.

I'm kind of new to this case but I took the time to watch Crime Watch and all three parts of the LordanArts videos on Youtube. I also read the whole thread here, and some other things here and there in the comments of the videos I watched.

I tried to think "outside the box" because this case is, to say the least, pretty weird. It seems like it was very precisely planned and I think that it came from someone close to her.

One thing that surprised me, just like so many other people, is how JZ was cleared that quick. And yesterday, I suddenly started thinking differently.

What if the text messages that came from Linday's phone were not made by Lindsay? The police seem to have based their timeline of the murder according to those text messages, Jason's, and also the pocket dial.

Also, why is it said everywhere that "it is believed" that she "may" have stopped at her place before going to the house showing in order to change clothes? Has anyone seen her or confirmed this? And, if so, who? Also, where exactly did she live at the time? Did she have enough time to go home before meeting "the Mexicans"?

Let's say Linday drove directly from Sauce to 1702 de Sousa Place. According to Google Maps, it's about a 20 minute drive. They paid the bill at 4:24 pm. The showing was supposed to take place at 5:30. If she really wanted to sell that house, shouldn't she go there first and make sure everything is clean and/or in order? LE says the lockbox was accessed at 5:29. They also assume that she was murdered between 5:38 and 5:41 since she didn't open Jason's last text message, and because she made a pocket dial. Also... in the last text she sent to Jason, she wrote "the Mexicans are here", but people close to her (except her bf) said that she'd talked to them about the potential buyers and that they'd never heard her refer to them as "the Mexicans". Weird...

What if she got there in advance and someone was already waiting for her in the house? (Perhaps someone who had the actual key to the house, which wouldn't be too hard to find because of all the connections between people in this case.) They could've killed her, taken her phone and sent fake text messages to pretend that she was still alive at this point (in order to fool the police and/or the boyfriend). The murderer(s) would've had the time to clean up, change clothes and leave before Jason showed up with CO. And... if the perps are those who are suspected by most people (except by LE, apparently), this would've given them the perfect opportunity to build their alibis for the time at which the potential buyers were supposed to be there.

What about the couple that was witnessed walking to the house around 5:30? What if they were just there to make it seem like the murder happened at 5:30, and also to make LE look for two people who don't really exist? The person who greeted them could've very well been another woman with dark hair, and not necessarily Linday. Also... at that time of the year and day, it should've been dark outside, so how were those witnesses able to provide a very precise description of the dress, see everyone's hair colour, and also see the papers on the trunk of Linday's car? It seems kind of strange that they could see so clearly in the dark. Who were those witnesses?! What if they made it up and there was actually no couple who arrived at the house around that time?

What do you think about all this? Maybe my questions and theories are a bit "out there" but, if the time was wrong to begin with... LE hasn't been searching in the right place, and the witnesses' testimonies are worth nothing. Same goes for (potentially) fake witness testimonies.

Jeff Buziak, Lindsay's Dad has said her spinal cord was the first cut, so she couldn't have done any fighting back. I hate typing this as I never wanted to know details. This information is available on her website. As the news has let us all know there is a lot of corruption in BC. Drugs, money laundering, cops, lawyers, politicians, real estate agents using all this illegal activity to their advantage. I think the Saanich PD know who did this but are involved in the illegal activity so won't solve it. Hopefully one day soon with all the info being shared on the news which means this illegal activity is coming to light, this brutal murder will be solved. Ms Lindsay and her Family deserve justice. The criminals involved might be thinking it is a good time to step up and make some deals because one day you will only be seeing the light from behind bars.
