Yes that's my point, two entirely different things.
However you could see this coming from early on when she was missing. Especially after her advisor's post about her thesis proposal that we all discussed. I understand WHY they are doing this but I have to say it is unsettling to me. I feel like I am watching something " staged" unroll as if her death was the " cause" needed. It became a "movement" from minute one . I don't think anyone else had anything to do with her death, but some of the propaganda machines wasted no time creating an issue from it. It became an us against them and that didn't / doesn't sit well with me .
Sorry if this isn't coming across right, I am having trouble explaining why this whole media blitz on the race aspect of this bothers me. It's like its all a big plan coming together and while I get it, I still feel Loretta is/ will be lost in the mix somehow. I cant explain this properly here. I feel she is being used I guess is the simplest explanation.
Something occurred to me last night which I don't think I've seen mentioned on this thread. I'm sure it is a huge coincidence, but it gave me the chills when I remembered it.

If Loretta went missing on Feb 13th, normal police procedure for an adult would be 24 hours......so she would be officially listed as missing on the 14th.
There is no 24 hour waiting period for filing, reporting or listing a missing person in Canada. A person can be listed as missing as soon as it is reported.
Much critical time can be lost in an investigation if people believe that they have to wait 24 hours to report a missing person, or that the police will wait 24 hours to act on a report.
If you believe someone is missing, go to the police immediately.

Yes, it is.holy batman that's complicated
I agree, LadyL.I understand your feeling unsettled but the fact is that Loretta is a native woman who was murdered and violence against natives is a hot-topic in this country. I think people are getting into a whole lot of semantics regarding her thesis proposal topic and the motive for her murder etc. No one had to create an issue - it was already there, especially with the highway of tears missing and murdered cases. I'm caucasion and I don't feel like there's an "us against them" vibe at all. Yes, the media and some activists are pushing their agendas but this spotlight on certain issues is one that I welcome.
Until they all come home is my new mantra.

I agree, LadyL.
Maybe you have already read the following, but if not, I think you could appreciate it.
It offers a fascinating look from their point of view--a view that I often don't take enough time for.

I'm reading between the lines here, and think you are suggesting that BL is a good mate for VH. :blushing:We have been racking our brains trying to find any scrap of information, any where. Our mission here is to help in any way we can. We research, try to develope theories, bring forward evidence gleaned from social media, etc.
I use my break & lunch at work totally consumed by this and other cases. If anyone knew BL's online name in any forum, they have not come forward with this info as of yet. There is always the possibility BL may not have ever been online. I have one family member myself who has never been online and has absolutely no interest. Another relative has only played an online game a couple times under someone else's profile.
If he only used a screen name, the only way to find anything on him would have to come from tip from a close friend of BL. We are not likely to get that info.
Rest assured....if anything is found on BL...the posts here will be fast & furious!

'She was really bright and really brave
I am so enraged that something like this had to happen to her, Lopez said after the ceremony. She made me feel welcome here even though I was a stranger. She would smile, she would say hi, when other people feigned blindness. She was really bright and really brave.
