How is Loretta's boyfriend doing? He is a computer science student from Turkey who has been with Loretta for two and a half years. They just learned that they were pregnant, 2-3 weeks before Valentine's Day. Victorian put and end to that.

I have been following several cases since TB went missing in May, but this is my first actual post....

I am just curious why the car theft charge was dropped when VH and BL were charged with M1? I'm sorry if this has been discussed and I have missed it, but haven't heard any justification for this.

Based on the reports from LE that LS passed away in the apartment, I assume that LE had known this since their initial forensics search there, and in order to give the perps a false sense of security, continued to report that no damning evidence had been found. I now also wonder if the security footage actually exists of LS leaving the apartment alone -- or if this little nugget, that gave us all some false hope , was deliberately planted by LE in the media to get the attention of the perps. VH's sociopathic grin makes me think that she would be the type of criminal that would be very annoyed if the "facts" were skewed in the media.. she probably had been planning her "perfect crime" for weeks (maybe BL made eyes at LS, and that was the catalyst for this tragedy) VH's smug look makes me believe that not only is she free of remorse, but that she is actually proud of herself for pulling this off.

Bring back the death penalty please! An eye for an eye....

I find it interesting that the general consensus is leaning towards her being the perpetrator of the plan. While I agree her personality in social media is pretty revealing, as to what sort of person she is, however it could all have been a front. I believe that they both had something to do with this, perhaps he is a very aggressive person, we don't know yet. I also have a hard time comprehending how they planed this out. Their escape plan was so haphazard it makes you think that either a) it was on a whim or b) they are dumber than a door nail.
I just hope that the both of them get the maximum sentence, no matter what.
I as well do not believe that they have committed previous killings as they would not have gotten away with it IMO.

just my opinion of course...but me thinks that VH might have been a bit envious of the closeness of LS to her dad ((LS called her family and/or her dad daily from what I recalled from the earliest MSM reports)).....that's what I meant by supportive family...someone to call and share with on a daily basis

LS also had a close relationship with her sister and a bf who VH thought she was living off of. In my opinion this situation was put in place by VH because of her sense of entitlement.

Very interesting updates.

If the marriage date has any truth to it--she would have been 22 years old.

We don't have much info from 2002 to 2007. In 2002, Victoria has herself graduating from Booth Memorial High School, in St. John's, Newfoundland.

Now we hear that she was possibly married in 2007, and the next we have is that she may have been in Moncton, New Brunswick in 2009.

The other update that jumped out for me was the Blackberry check in on August, 2011, which places Victoria on George Street in St. John's, Newfoundland.

In January, 2011, Victoria was charged with the Class "A" felony that she skipped on in Halifax, NS. Her activities are very confusing around this time, but she seems to be making her way to Ontario, and then intends to be west bound.

Thanks, Pondering! On October 14, 2009, she seems to have left her night-shift job in Moncton, for a weekend in Petawawa--never returning to her responsibilities in Moncton. LOL No surprise, there.

On October 16, 2009, Victoria posts that she may be westward bound.

So, now in Jan., 2010 we have her possibly in Nova Scotia with maybe a new fella.

Leggette begins to turn up in the latter part of 2010/early 2011. How interesting, because we have nothing to really confirm where she was living when she met him.

She was definitely in Halifax, NS, in Jan., 2011, because she had charges laid against her; then we have her in St. John's, Newfoundland in August, 2011.

I agree. Very possible.

Especially if she knew Loretta for any length of time.

I don't think they were happy with Loretta for pressing them to pay their rent; and Loretta had many things that they both were envious of--such as a working vehicle.

I think they were flat out broke--they had nothing. Victoria had even given away her cats, which she seemed to genuinely care for.

She had to have been terrified to be back in Halifax with the police looking for her on the charges she had skipped on in 2011.

But they had run from charges he had laid against him in Alberta.

They didn't have many options left--they lifestyle had caught up to them and their backs were against the wall.

They were heading towards what they did.

I think it's just that we can't find much on him.

They are both charged with premeditated murder and I don't have any doubts that those charges are justified.

They may not have had the "plan" in place long--premeditation charges don't require evidence of weeks or days of planning.

Loretta had been trying to contact them; so they knew she needed her rent money.

They may have been aware that Loretta was going to drop by on the 13th.

That would have given them ample opportunity.

I don't know why this doesn't sit well with me, but it doesn't.

A national inquiry into how/why someone like Loretta was murdered, but only if the victim is aboriginal, makes no sense to me. What happened to Loretta happens to people all over the world. She crossed paths with two transients that were looking for a free ride, and that cost her everything. A national inquiry will not add anything to the obvious. It's like Meredith Kercher in Italy. She crossed paths with the wrong people and it cost her everything. Did this happen because her mother is East Indian? Should there be a national inquiry into her murder?

As in were they told something by LE that the rest of us weren't because clearly they feel this was done solely because she was native. Ok Thanks. It just seems like this is becoming a huge campaign as many of us thought it would. I feel this is wrong on a few levels but that's just me as I look as it as a woman was murdered I don't put her race as the reason why. So I thought perhaps I had missed something beyond the obvious.
