Nobody has convicted them of anything yet, they are wanted by the police for murders. Rest assured assuming they give up or are otherwise captured alive, they will be given a fair trial.
One murder at this point...suspects in the other two murders.

Ok so someone was pulling a spoof over on Twitter with that video of these 2 guys being caught? That is sick and I'm sad to say I believed it. Sorry if I got everyone's hopes up. I so want these 2 caught ASAP. Hopefully these 2 will give up tonight or by morning knowing they're cornered now.

So they'll likely be hiding out in the bush. Police have to locate them, then figure out how to safely surround and capture them, on foot, with no one getting shot. Really not so easy.

My guess is the K9s might be the suspects’ first concern. Their best choice might be up a tree or a hunters blind if there is one around.

Now that you mention it, the possibility dawns on me that maybe the kid with no driver's license accidentally ran over poor Mr D at the rest stop and a number of supremely foolish decisions arose from their fear that they could be in big trouble if caught. Maybe the senseless murders of LF and CD were the work of another perp entirely. Just spitballing here. MOO.
I agree. We don't know how poor Mr. D died, or what spurred the burnt out truck and theft of the other car etc. What I have seen is that they have not threatened or hurt anyone else after that incident and I have seen no clear evidence provided by any reliable sources as to why they are suspects in the other killings. I continue to wonder if a dangerous and cruel murderer is smirking, seeing that these 2 young guys are being blamed for something they did not do.

Dump is circled on map in red

Makes sense. And then the sewage lagoon and the line of trees he mentioned are to the left of it.

You can see the three locations here - looks like a 7 hour drive from Split Lake to Rav4.

Thank you for the information. I
thought of an unlikely but plausible scenario, if they are indeed found at York Landing.

Some accomplice drove the RAV4 to Fox Lake and burned it for them, to mislead police.

They went from Split Lake to York Landing using $20 gas for same accomplice's boat.

The crimes were in BC - would they not end up in prison there?

I think so - although it's probably very similar - but our poster here was familiar with Manitoba (I think).

They've probably committed some crimes in Manitoba too. Someone said that they would not be put in the same prison, so perhaps there would be a deal worked out between provinces? I dunno.

I mean, there is a reason authorities believe they killed all 3 people. They aren't speculating at this point. They are accused.
It will be interesting to see the evidence they do have when/if this goes to trial. Do you know if the evidence would be released to the public if the suspects don’t come out of this alive?

They mostly eat berries but OK lol.

Where I live there is a beautiful falls area near where the salmon spawn. There is a platform area to watch and usually a conservation/warden nearby. I go to watch the bears and the way to know they are nearby is by smell. A big whiff of dead fish because they have been eating them all day. In the fall they can smell like sour fruit especially if apple trees are nearby. “You are what you eat”.

Oh man, on Wednesday there was a rumour of them having taken the ferry from Split Lake to York Landing sometime on Tuesday. Looks like it was more than just a rumour!
I remember that "rumor" so why didn't the RCMP at least have a few officers stationed there? Just in case it wasn't a "rumor" Tsk tsk

Actually we don't know that.

You mean extradition?
Exactly what I meant. Don't know why the right word didn't pop into my tired brain. Thanks.

ETA I went back and retyped it.

Do you supposed they traded their truck to somebody in return for a ride in that person's vehicle to, say, Winnipeg or where ever. But then folks in the know back in Gillam got wind of who these guys were and torched the vehicle and, when they reached the driver, told him to jettison his passengers tout suite. MOO.
It is pretty much completely flat, 25-40 k's a day is easily doable for young, fit teenagers.

I honestly don't think it was an intentional spoof, I think it was a local who was a little excited, stressed, and maybe jumped the gun.

They are currently charged with the murder of all three.

The interesting thing is that none of the major news organizations fell for it, as real as it looked, except a network in Australia. I’d bet that the latter is a Rupert Murdoch network, like Fox “News” and the Daily Mail :)

I’d love to know how the Australian network explained no arrest after running that clip.
