ok if this wasn't so horrific I'd be laughing. Did our government really leave this crime in the hands of Montreal police? Are they for real?:banghead:

No RCMP, no FBI, no Interpol.

Help me out, folks. I'm just hearing about this and I live here!

Maybe some of our student protestors will attack him with pots and pans. WTF? :maddening:

Forgive my ignorance but are the Montreal police not a top-notch investigative group? I honestly have no idea about their reputation.

From that facebook post in Feb where he is saying "We have an appt" I am wondering if he was prostituting. He mentions "we are giving massage" also. Also that someone screens the appts very well. Being in the biz he did not work regularly and prostitution is not a far leap to supplement his income.
Bet this will come out and his clients will be glad they survived.

From what I've read on various GLBT news sites and blogs it was well known that Magnotta was a gay escort and did gay . I'm currently searching for his profiles on a few gay dating sites (non-escort sites); more to follow...

Montreal is a city. Crimes of this magnitude should be handled in conjuction with provincial and federal law enforcement entities.

Considering the body parts were mailed to government officials in Ottawa, one would assume they would take over the investigation or at least let the RCMP which is the equivalent to your FBI assist in the investigation.

I don't know what the crime rate statistics are citywide or provincially so I can't really compare.

From the few, random portions of the video I unfortunately made the mistake of viewing, I'd bet the victim was killed a good amount of time (days, maybe weeks) before the video was filmed and that Magnotta likely drained most of the victims blood (in the bathtub or somewhere) prior to the filming of the video. I admittedly don't know much about how much blood there should be when decapitating someone; my only point of reference would be the Nicole Brown Simpson crime scene photos which was a plethora of blood whereas the video is almost absent of blood. Again, although I only viewed a few seconds at the beginning, middle and end of the video (I regret viewing even one second), I'd argue the victim was dead for some time.

Agreed .... first of film shows victim alive and what I would term as possibly sedated by something even though he was moving it wasn't apparent that he was trying to escape the bondage.

Thanks for the clarification; I didn't see any movement by the victim at the beginning when he was gagged and blindfolded but there is no way in hell I will watch the video again to verify so I guess I'll take your word for it.

First comment on the site that I will not name where the video was posted was just before 9:30pm on the 25th of May/12. The video could have been made before the 25th and just put onto the site on the 25th. The victim was at the latest very much expired by 9:30pm on May 25th.

This Luka guy needs to be caught like hours ago now!!!!

Likely using the Amtrak from Montreal to NYC where he believes he can disappear into the masses.
