I thought those boxes look like computers. (from the bottomside)???

I also want to add, the fact that officers are wearing gloves really shouldn't come as a surprise to the newspapers! Isn't it standard procedure when looking for evidence so as not to compromise it any way??

Nettie, I thought that was funny too, but, I suppose it's a good thing that all precautions are being taken!

I don't think they were necessarily surprised; I took it as an oblique way of pointing out the scene was being treated as a crime scene, even though nothing official was said.

I guess the news is grasping at straws on things to report about this case, next we will be told the grass is green and the sky is blue!

Thanks nettie! I also find it strange how the 'new' searches are not really new. You are right, those news are new to us indeed and it is definately being downplayed on the family fb page. Yet ppl are being encouraged to 'invite invite invite' .
I'm not quite following how 33,619 members on a computer can make a difference although I do believe in strenght in numbers.
Yes, my porchlight is on also and yes I pray for the McCanns to be found and reunited w/their family but I don't advertise it because it makes no difference in that sense.

What are the chances this elderly couple is being held against their will somewhere?
What are the chances this elderly couple is wandering blindly in the woods?
My guess is something happened fairly early on in their trip, even before they got to the Minnow Campground. My guess is that this couple did not park the RV at that Campground as the RV was not registered for a spot at Minnow.
Perhaps they were held inside the RV which was driven by someone else. And then it burned down...

Where did the couple disappear to?

This case is puzzling!

I agree with your entire post ~PrinceSSa~.I hate to see this turn into a "how many people can we get to join?" thing! Which, is almost what it is coming across to me as. Instead of "invite, invite, invite" why not let getting posters up be the main focus!! Again JMO! I have so many more thoughts, but will refrain from posting them here!

This case is puzzling, but do believe something happened before Minnow Lake. I believe in one of the newspaper articles that mentioned about the campground being searched by Nojack, it was mentioned also about being somewhat of a rest stop? I would have to dig for it again, but if this is the case, wonder if Lyle and Marie stopped there to use the facilities, and were overtaken there by the perp?

Sgt. Tim Taniguchi says investigators felt it was necessary to search the area near Nojack, which is not far from where police arrested a person of interest in the case earlier this week.

But he can't say what — if anything — was found because the investigation into the whereabouts of Lyle and Marie McCann continues.

"I can tell you the investigation is continuing and if evidence was found then it would have to be processed through our forensic processes...

"The perception that some members of the public have that this could happen very quickly, in reality, forensic evidence processing can take a significant amount of time."

LE must have been pretty anxious to search the campground, they wanted to do so in the dark. OR were the generators for the search at Niton Junction? Kind of ambiguous here.

A generator and lights have been brought to the campground which will allow investigators to work overnight. RCMP will not allow people in the area.

Investigations continue on a property near Niton Junction for any evidence related to the case of the missing couple from St. Albert. The Fox has learned from a number of sources that RCMP borrowed a generator from the Edson Fire Department to help power outdoor lights last night. There's no word on whether it went to Niton, but Sergeant Tim Taniguchi says it is probably a safe bet that's where the generator went.

I wish LE could provide a little more information about what's going on, for the interest of public safety. I know many, many elderly folks take their RVs into and through AB all summer long and what's happened to the McCanns is a serious concern. Who did this? Are others at risk? Is TV the only person of interest? So many questions. I see the family FB is going nuts with the whole 'turn the porch light on' campaign and constant requests to spread the posters and word about the FB page.....and I believe it's not wrong to still hold out hope but how much longer can this tragic mystery go on for? Do LE feel the McCanns could still be alive somewhere or not? Has TV given them any information? My heart goes out to the family, this must be like their worst nightmare....but sadly, at what point do LE give some actual info? *sigh*

This whole case is odd. Regarding the families FB page, I agree it seems to have turned into a "How many can we get to join page?" Sadly it isn't looking good for the McCann's given the time that has elapsed. I hope I am wrong.

A very odd thing happened on Monday evening while I was reading some of the discussion posts. I had just finished reading the Psychic thread and carried onto the Support and Information thread, I reached the last post and I had no intention of posting, however, I was logged in and there was the captcha for posting. This totally freaked me out. So much so that I had to take a screenshot. Not sure if I can post it here or not. If this is inappropriate please delete.

Here's hoping for a happy outcome!

I must say that this site is quite remarkable. The incredible amount of time spent into research etc. Hats off to you all!

Kind Regards,
Thyme

That is eerie isn't it.

Geez Thyme, that was definitely an eerie captcha!! Sheesh.

The FB page was great for a while but there seem to be the same handful of people who seem to "live there,", posting dozens and dozens of times a day, responding to EVERYTHING post, to the point of being nauseating. Sadly there always seems to be a small group of these folks on Support FB pages; not sure if they do it for affirmation and attention or to feel important but it gets a bit much after awhile. Wish I had that much time to sit on FB all day and night but this thing called work and life get in the way. :-) It also begins to appear that a key group of them seem to be trying to "one-up" each other.

Yes very eerie given that these captchas are all random. I had never been to one of these facebook support pages before and didn't understand how these 'Everything Responders' had all this free time on their hands. No lives I suppose. When that FB support site first started there where many more discussions going on which were quite ridiculous, all the wild speculations regarding the motorhome at the gas station etc. There was one person there replying to every post pretty well B. S. [very appropriate] were her initials, no matter what time of the day you went there she was there, when did she sleep. At first I thought she was related to the family and in charge of the site. I soon discovered that she was a major instigator. Telling people to message the POI friends and family on facebook to have him give himself up. Bizarre to say the least. When the family decided to remove the discussion threads due to legal reasons she even had the nerve to argue with them. Wild!

Thanks for the 'Welcome' RubyRed.

I have been reading the thread regarding little Caylee Anthony for the past few days. How very very sad. Not sure that I can read too many of these.

In the hintonparklander article about Shelly Bacsu, they refer to the LE having a sketch and then don't even include it. Bugs the heck outta me.

Edson is also associated with Andrew Bellwood, a major witness in the Pickton trial. Bellwood, who lived with Pickton at one time, had been interrogated about the murder of Margaret Findlay in Edson. He had also been in court in Edson wrt an assault on his partner du jour:

These peeps do have a way of finding each other ... maybe not the case with TV, but wouldn't surprise me if they know each other. These animals usually run in packs, and IMO, drugs and the subsequent depravity are the central factor.

Nauseating is right! If it weren't for the fact that I am deeply concerned about this couple I would have left the group days ago. I keep hoping to log in there and find out something new!
