I've always thought two things... there are, there were, or there have always been serial killers targeting the indigenous people of the area, or perhaps some kind of ritual they were involved in led to their death, perhaps by taking ayahuasca or another hallucinogenic substance in high doses... that doesn't bother me because those are their beliefs and their culture... what bothers me is why they kill them... that Highway of Tears is a clear example that there are always individuals who are very sick in the head...
