It appears she was wearing this when she disappeared. Why have LE not traced the mobile phone? If the hubby had hers and his phone in his hand (as reported by him in an interview I just read) then trace them both to see which route he took.

Here's a possible scenario : let's suppose this is the situation

She 38 years old, 5 months pregnant, and potentially both tired and physically uncomfortable due to pregnancy. He wants to run around chasing virtual Pokemon rewards, which is not quite the same frame of mind as a woman who is 'nesting'. She gives her phone to him because she's not interested in the game, or perhaps her battery is dead. They mess up with the busses, making her more uncomfortable due to pregnancy. Additionally, second trimester hormones cause her to experience emotional reactions that are exaggerated, and which surprise her. This is where they part ways.

Her frame of mind may be that he is unsupportive of the pregnancy, that she doesn't really want to spend the next 20 years raising a child, and that she sees no way out. If someone has a location for where they parted ways, I'll put together a map at the end of the day today of places where she may have gone.

Do friends and family know of a favourite place where she liked to walk or think? For example, some people like to walk along a river to think and clear their head.

If her coat or pants have pockets, why give her phone to him?

And I agree with the poster who said that reporting someone missing after an hour is hinky. Unless there was some reason for him to be really concerned. If my SO and I had a tiff and he walked off to clear his head, I would not report him missing after an hour. But if he said things that made me think he might hurt himself before he walked off... well, I wouldn't let him walk off! This whole thing is odd.

Is it just me, or is she carrying what might be an umbrella in her right hand, and maybe a shopping bag in her left???

Am I seeing things???

Is this picture being circulated on her 'missing' poster???

I see a long black umbrella with a hooked handle, but I think it may be the end of her scarf near her other hand, or is it a bag? not sure.

Actually I think you're right, it looks like it could be a cloth shoulder bag.

Looks definitely like an umbrella, and possibly a shoulder bag. But what is on her head? It looks like a mask to me?

Why would you report someone missing after 1 hour? That's the part that gets me.

I don't find that weird at all. She's pregnant, it is cold outside. He was worried.

Could she have felt a frequent need to urinate due to pregnancy? Could she have gone for a public toilet?

This one feels hinky, but not high on my meter. My theory is they missed the first bus home and she just wanted to go home. From the second bus they got off at a mall to play Pokemon Go. I think it's very likely he was the one who wanted to get off at that spot and she got angry and just headed home. Who knows after that, but I don't think he harmed her. I should watch his media video I guess. I'll wait on more information on who went in what direction and where they were coming from.

Edit - somewhere up there ^ it was said by LE that she was "highly recognizable" in the area. I wondered what that meant. LSS has posted an image on his FB that looks like video footage they found of her that day. She's wearing a winter hat that looks like a lions head or something and has long braided ties with pompoms on the end.

:bump:

Oh thank you tara! I missed that.

I've enlarged the image, although it doesn't help that much.

It looks to me like she is holding a bag in her right hand, an umbrella in her left hand, and her right hand is crossing her stomach - maybe holding her coat closed. It looks like she is wearing gloves.

What I don't understand is why her hat was reported as a yellow toque? Describing it as a Lions' head would help people notice her more.

Any news on her? I found the photo via MSM but it also went on to say that she had a white hoody on under the coat so I don't understand where she got that from as she doesn't have it on the photo here however this looks like CCTV?

Does anyone know the address of where she was last seen, and the address of her home?
I'd like to try mapping this.
Also, did she work or go to school? If so, do we have an address?
If she didn't work or go to school, what did she do with her time?

It's a strange case, isn't it... The impression I'm getting of Marie from the husband's statements to the media and the impression I'm getting of her from people on this thread who claim to know her are so very different...

If what her friends have said on here about her is accurate, either she has had a personality change recently - due to pregnancy, or bad news about the pregnancy, or a mental illness or the like - or hubby is biased about her personality because they haven't been getting along recently.

Or, for some reason the husband wants everyone to believe Marie was mentally unstable and capable of everything.

From the new article. BBM.

Abbotsford Police Const. Ian MacDonald said investigators corroborated Schellenberg’s story, including reviewing security video that showed him and his wife going in separate directions after leaving the bus.

He said police have ruled out that Schellenberg had any involvement in his wife’s disappearance.
