Mayling was last seen in Prince George, British Columbia in October of 2016. He has never been heard from again. His red 1995 Ford Taurus was later located in downtown Prince George in late November 2016. All efforts to locate him have been unsuccessful.
Prior to his disappearance, Mayling frequented both the Prince George and Fort St. John municipalities. He is known to police and is believed to be associated with the drug trade. Foul play is suspected in Mayling's case and his whereabouts remain unknown.
