Thanks Hazel , sorry I cluttered up this thread, maybe it is not to late to remove. Well I feel silly, since I see that I most certainly have seen that thread! Still have to wonder if senior abuse/abduction is the "new" wave of victims, now that we are all very aware of the vulnerability of children and taking proactive measures to protect them.

Missing seniors cases baffling

[snip]

Still missing is 81-year-old May Milling who vanished after leaving Jasper en route to Kamloops B.C. last September. RCMP previously stated foul play was not suspected.

Milling’s vehicle was never located following aerial and ground searches of the highway between Jasper and Kamloops.

Search on hold for woman missing in N. Thompson

Unless the rising waters of the North Thompson River dislodge May Milling’s car from its resting place, the search for the missing woman is on hold for a couple of months, police said Thursday.

[snip]

Seib is convinced the 81-year-old’s Buick is resting in one of two large holes that are downstream from where officers believe the vehicle veered off Highway 5 near Mad River and down a 30-metre embankment last August.

I am glad that her loved ones are gathering to celebrate her life, and I hope they find her soon. Strange that there is another person who is missing from sort of the same area as where she went missing though. As far as I can see Tedd Tree has never been found. Link to information about Tedd - http://bc.rcmp.ca/ViewPage.action?siteNodeId=50&languageId=1&contentId=16954
This is so strange - I just came across this about Tedd Tree - it seems he is fine and living back east. I will never understand how people can just walk away from their lives and especially family with no word.
News Tedd Tree alive and well a shock to family. Tedd Tree's family is as much in dark as anyone about where the Kamloops resident and businessman is in Eastern Canada and why he moved without telling anyone. http://www.kamloopsnews.ca/article/20110523/KAMLOOPS0101/305239997/-1/kamloops/

I am not finding any news at all about May or a scheduled search for her.

On Friday Sept, 2nd it will be a year since May left Jasper, never to be seen again. To me it is very sad that she is out there somewhere and there has been no news if anyone is even looking for her.

From reading another forum it sounds like the water levels have been unusually high (as of Aug 17th)... and one of the posters, from the area, was going to try and get more information if/when another search would be conducted... Here's the link...
