GUILTY Canada - Melinda Vasilije, 22, stabbed to death 47 times, Kitchener, 28 April 2017 *Arrest*

Don't they all say that? She had a knife and I was just trying to protect myself. If a man can get a knife from a woman, why does he then use it on her? He has the knife, his life is not in danger anymore.

I wonder how many cases there have been of a killer posting a confession on social media while on the run?

If the reddit post was done by him it was incredibly stupid. He should let a lawyer defend him. What he has said will come back to haunt him.

One of the news reports stated his family believe he wrote it. Weird that they would say that. Someone has to be helping him or he has hidden his car well and may not be here on earth anymore.

Wow...this case and the interview with the suspect's brother just came through my twitter feed this morning. How is this not a priority manhunt in the US? This guy is a desperate cold blooded killer, despite his nonsensical "story".

His brother's attitude says it all when asked if he thinks his brother should turn himself in. His response? "I just think he should stay safe." Pfft. WTH kind of answer is that? Someone is dead and definitely not "safe". Neither brother appears to have much respect for the law.

Not buying one bit of his self serving online rant either. :notgood:

I'm not buying his story. Even if all of it were true, if he loved her so much why didn't he call 911 to see if she could be saved? When you find someone you love dead, you don't accept it, you still hope they can be revived. You don't even consider you could get in trouble IMO.

IMO it probably went down like he said until he says she asked if he saw anyone when they were apart. I think he's the one who asked that and that's when it happened. All JMO.

I'm waiting to hear from the roommate who is supposed to have known he was at the home against a court order and left them there together, "cuddling and kissing", to go out for food.

I also noticed his brother is pleading his case on his own FB.

I agree. Truth mixed with lies.

Thanks for finding this gem! Seems like their relationship was really "undercover"

Or she was deleted from his SM accts when she dumped (disrespected?) him?

I think so too. I see it all the time when people I follow on IG break-up. In one of the photo comments he says "photo credit to Melinda" so she had to have some sort of presence there or people knew about her.

Search for Ager Hasan continues

Jag Jamil is Hasan’s brother and knew Vasilije quite well.

[...]

Jamil says the fight that night happened after his brother admitted to seeing other girls. According to the Reddit post, Hasan and Vasilije were having the same argument the night of the murder.

Police know Hasan crossed into the U.S. on the Peace Bridge from Fort Erie 6a.m on Friday. He was last spotted in Pennsylvania.

Funeral was yesterday. R.I.P. Melinda :rose:

I hope his brother keeps talking. He's now contradicted what AH wrote in his "confession letter".

Family, friends fill Kitchener funeral home to remember Melinda Vasilije

Melinda Vasilije was found dead in her Country Hill Drive apartment after police were called there Friday morning around 3 a.m. A post mortem revealed she died from multiple stab wounds.

[...]

A suspect in the case, 24-year-old Ager Mohsin Hasan of Hamilton, remains at large.

Hasan faces second-degree murder charges.

[...]

A man matching his description was spotted switching licence plates off a vehicle in a Walmart parking lot in Harborcreek Township, near Erie, Pa., around 10 a.m. It's believed the man put the stolen plate on his own vehicle and fled the area.

State police said the licence plate is Pennsylvania registration EZV1654 and had a Fraternal Order of Police medallion emblem attached to it.

The Honda HR-V may have also been displaying Ontario licence plate BPKT509.

How is this dude still not in custody??

How is this dude still not in custody??

Great question. But with very little press in the US about this case and this fugitive, and the fact that it's a domestic murder and not a random one, it appears there is no real pressure to find this guy. He's had a long time to just disappear.

I hope LE in both countries are keeping a watch on his family members and social media connections. He seems to have connections to Nashville and Montreal just as an example of places he could go for help.

My theory is that he really does believe all those things he said. He doesn't see it as his fault at all, and really truly sees it as a 'reaction'. Because he was owed her, because she didn't meet the expectations she was supposed to(I'm guessing she actually stood up to him for once) because she wasn't obedient and meek.

In the screen shots there are a lot of photos that are now blank but the comments are still up, and there is one he directs to Anna. And it's completely cruel and unnecessary, blaming her for what happened(while of course saying "I'm not saying its your fault...but") I think thats just the way his brain works. He is entitled to what he wants, when, and from who.
