The Kingston Whig Standard - Kingston Police searching for person last seen on Halloween - Published Nov 02, 2023 by Steph Crosier
"Melissa suffers from medical-related issues and there are concerns for their well-being," police said."
Kingston Police are searching for a person last seen on Halloween downtown.
Melissa LeBlanc-Boisvenu, 42, was last seen near Bagot and Johnson streets, but her current whereabouts are unknown.
“Melissa suffers from medical-related issues and there are concerns for their well-being,” police said.
Police said they are known to frequent the areas around Montreal, Rideau, and Garrett streets.
Police described Melissa as being white, about 5-foot-8, and 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. They were last seen wearing a red coat, grey pants, a blue-and-grey toque, and black winter boots with red laces.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Kingston Police at 613-549-4660. Anonymous tips may be provided by calling the same number, then entering extension 0, and asking to remain anonymous."
Please Note: The Whig article describes Melissa as white but doesn't mention her Indigeneity, but Aboriginal Alert has an entry for her that describes her as Indigenous. Both can be true, as Indigenous is not a race (at least it is not legally defined as such here in Canada)
