Canada - mother charged with attempted murder of son

Maria Chouinard, a 33-year-old woman from nearby LaSalle, Ont., has been charged with one count of attempted murder. Police say they may lay more charges.

My Lord! How could a mother do this to her child? I know teens can be difficult, but to hit her son with her vehicle and pin him up against a building? Shocking! Praying this young man survives and makes a full recovery.

About 20 minutes earlier, the mother had confronted her son at a nearby fast-food restaurant, believing he had stolen something belonging to her.

Police were called, but no action was taken because the teen had left and the woman decided not to make a formal complaint.

So she pinned her son up against the wall with her vehicle after police came and went due to the confrontation mother and son had in a restaurant.

I see drug use involved here, not sure by which one though. Wondering how calm mom really was when LE left, or did she get riled up again when she saw her son.

A 16-year-old boy is improving in hospital after he was allegedly hit by a vehicle driven by his mother in Windsor.

Officials confirm the teenager is listed in serious condition, but is now out of the Intensive Care Unit.

I'm not normally convinced perp's public Facebook posts are related to their subsequent crime, but oh boy...

So glad to hear the son's life is not in immediate danger anymore. It seems like a really bad family situation that was now made a lot, lot worse.
