He is described as 5'7" and 165 pounds, with short, wavy brown hair and blue eyes.

He was last seen on foot, wearing a dark coloured sweater, light blue vest, and beige pants.

wow, thats a pretty isolated road. Must have been visiting someone on that road. There isnt much else there.

Roussin Road is in a very rural area of Ontario, but it is just off of Highway 17, which is a major highway from Winnipeg, Manitoba to Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Google Maps

Although it looks like the map pointer is pointing to Highway 17, Roussin Road is actually just south of Highway 17. Either Nazariy knew someone in that area, or perhaps he was hitchhiking and got dropped off in that area.

Yep -- tree planted there, once upon a time. Beautiful country but can be forbidding.

Easy to bend into the bush but also possible to pick one's way back to the highway. Also Dryden was/is known for its mills -- you could see and smell the smoke plumes from a long way off.

I was just going to post that article! I was so happy to see that there might be multiple possible sightings of Narariy. I hope he will soon be located.

"The SIU said in a written statement that Geletiy was in possession of a firearm. He was taken by OPP helicopter to a hospital in Dryden, and then transferred to a hospital in Thunder Bay, where he died.

The statement said "at this time, investigators do not believe any officer discharged a firearm during the interaction."

So many questions.. So sad. Who is he?

So it doesn't sound like he was reported missing (which is what I originally thought), just that they found his car abandoned on the road which lead to the search. I can't find any information on him at all.

Why would he travel (assuming he drove) all the way from Vancouver to Ontario with a gun no less?!
Assuming by his last name, that NG is of Ukranian heritage, wondering how long he has been in the country, the one photo shown looks like it might be a passport pic.
speculation, imo.
