Is there anywhere locally he could have taken his own life should that have been his plan? Appologies if this has already been discussed

Posted a couple of minutes ago:
New elements have led to a large deployment of police in the St-Apollinaire sector. They want to search (examine) all chalets/cottages/cabins and outbuildings and want owners to be accompanied by police to do so.
ETA: follow-up tweet: the objective of this deployment is to check for new clues and to secure/clear properties. Owners are requested to call 911.
ETA2: absent (outside the area) owners are asked to call 911 rapidly.

It looks like this might be just the next police step based on probabilities that he is still out there in the woods.
