Vancouver Police have confirmed there were multiple stabbings and there are now multiple crime scenes around the plaza.

Officers have been on scene since 2:30 a.m.
Few details have been released but forensic officials are paying particular attention to the area just outside the Harbour Events Centre and the adjoining nightclub.

Man dies and two others hospitalized after Plaza of Nations stabbing

One man dead, two in hospital. Police have suspects and witnesses in custody, but...

“We’re trying to get as much information as we can but at this point everyone is fairly uncooperative. It gives you an idea of the individuals we are dealing with,” said Montague.

“It appears the stabbing involved two groups of people […] it doesn’t appear random. It does appear as though there was an altercation of some sort.”

Man killed in Plaza of Nations stabbing identified

Vancouver police have identified 25-year-old Jia Hong Chen, of Burnaby, as the man who was killed in an incident that involved multiple stabbings at the Plaza of Nations early Tuesday morning.

Another victim is still in the hospital and another was treated and released.
