GUILTY Canada - Rori Hache, 18, pregnant, found deceased, Oshawa, Ont, 29 Aug 2017

con't

"Mitton told Strong that Google cloud technology, which linked his phone to his computer, put him at the lake where Hache's body was found.

"I believe that was the day you took Rori's body to the lake," Mitton said.

"There you go," an upbeat Strong chirped back.

Lawyers for Strong have argued to have any evidence gleaned from Google
tracking technology thrown out. They will also be arguing to have both video statements ruled inadmissible. Those arguments have yet to heard."

Iirc within this thread there was a brief discussion about if / or what AS would negotiate for in exchange for more information.

Man accused of dismembering two Ont. teens sends 'condolences' to one victim's parents

"I'm worried about her mother," Strong told the officer during the interview. "I couldn't even imagine how that affects someone."

''In the police interview, the detective is heard trying to get Strong to answer questions about how the two women were killed. But Strong appears to be holding back on information, saying he hopes to exchange it for better prison conditions.''

From video in above article,

"The defense is expected to argue that the judge dismiss both interrogation videos.
I'm also told that they'd like to see the murder charges for Fitzpatrick dropped." - Brittaney Rosen, Global News

'I have all the characteristics of a serial killer,' Adam Strong told Durham police
October 7, 2020

"During the interview Mitton asked Strong to reveal if there had been any victims in addition to Hache and Fitzpatrick.

"Honestly, Adam, I think there's more than two (victims)," Mitton said.

"Well, have at'er," Strong shot back. Find 'em."

Mitton pressed Strong to reveal where Fitzpatrick's remains might be found. "Is there any hope we can find anything?" he asked.

"I can't," said Strong."

...

Wrt AS,

"He did allow, however, that during a troubled childhood he'd had violent fantasies, and enjoyed killing animals."

Police did 'horrible job' collecting evidence, Ontario man accused of killing and dismembering two teens claims

Octoober 7, 2020

WARNING graphic content

Dialogue within video:

Det. Paul Mitton: You're only sorry you got caught?

AS: Horribly, I wish they could have gone on hoping.

Det. Paul Mitton: Kandis, her family can stop hoping that their daughter is out there somewhere.

AS: it is unfortunate.

Det. Paul Mitton: Some people are remorseful.

AS: I didn't feel it

Det. Paul Mitton: Sorry, two people are snuffed out and you're not remorseful? Shocking,

AS: I don't feel things like other people do.

I don't know why I feel such loathing and disgust for this guy. It's almost like I'm surprised by how I feel about him. It's not like I'm not used to these types of people as I have been following true crime for decades but there is something so incredibly repulsive, disturbing, unsettling and morbidly gross about him that he turns my stomach.

His nonchalant conversations with LE are testing my ability to continue to follow this case.

He is stupid beyond belief as well.

Are there others? There was a big gap between Kandis and Rori. I think he wants LE to think he's worse than he really is. It's like he wants LE to tag him as a Serial Killer. I don't think there are others. I think he's a wanna be Serial Killer and may have gotten there eventually but he failed at that too. He's just a big loser. I could be very wrong though. That gap is troubling to me.

Love to know what they've found on his computer or cell phone.

MOO

Ontario man accused of double teenage girl murder's condolences rejected by victim's mother | Daily Mail Online
''The mother of teenage girl who was dismembered and flushed down a pipe has told the man who is accused of killing her to 'go stick his head in a toilet and flush' after he sent his condolences to the victims' families.

Adam Strong, 47, is on trial for the murders of Rori Hache, 18, in Oshawa, Ontario, in 2017 and Kandis Fitzpatrick, 19, who has not been seen since 2008.

The girls' families watched as Strong told a police officer he wanted to pass on his condolences to Hache's mother and father in an 11-hour interrogation video played in Toronto Courthouse on Tuesday.''

@Tealgrove
I commiserate with you. It's difficult to bear witness to this crime and trial. It's local, close to home and close to my heart.

AS is loathsome. I think we all share that feeling.
And it's only 2 weeks into the trial.

@dotr
Ugh. The story is covered by UK's Dailymail.

Newly released police video shows interview with man accused of murdering Oshawa teens
image.jpg

Det. Paul Mitton tries to get details about Hache's death, but finds himself speaking with an interviewee who wants concessions.

''Strong tells Mitton that in exchange for "spilling the beans," he would want to be "as comfortable as I can in jail. Not like a hundred thousand dollars like Picton, but like an allowance. I don't know, like internet access. I don't have anybody who's going to buy me a TV."

From video:
Det. : ... I mean we are who we are.
AS: I am who I am because of my childhood. I'm not trying ah
Det. : blame someone else for your actions.
AS: Ya, exactly, they're my actions. But I don"t think I would have made those actions had I been nurtured.

A lot of us had awful childhoods and don't go on to murder vulnerable teenage girls. I hate that he acts like his actions are just a byproduct of his upbringing, "oh well, can't change the fact that my mom and dad birthed a torturous murderer!"

His blasé attitude toward his actions...Poor him, he's just too messed up, no one would understand, no one can help him, he's beyond saving, these urges are just some 'monster' inside that he can't control...its all bs...and it's embarrassing to watch.

The more he talks, the more I want to watch him suffer...and it makes me mad that I feel vengeful! MOO.

Does anyone have a link to the interrogation video? The only one I've found contains very short clips of it (a few minutes max).

Thanks

Recent COVID-19 surge looms over Adam Strong murder trial in Oshawa
October 13, 2020

"There's no indication right now that Strong's trial will be affected but the Chief Justice's office is monitoring developments as they emerge."

...

"On Tuesday Di Luca heard arguments about the admissibility of statements made by Strong during two lengthy interviews with Durham police detectives -- ...

Strong's performance during the interrogations indicate he was comfortable and in control during the interviews, and well aware of his right to remain silent on key issues, prosecutor Jinwon Kim argued. "
