GUILTY Canada - Rori Hache, 18, pregnant, found deceased, Oshawa, Ont, 29 Aug 2017

I know AS has lived in the current address for about 15 years or so... but I wonder if police have considered looking around at his prior addresses? I have found some suggestion that he MAY have lived in other addresses around Oshawa in the late 1990s...

In case people are interested in ongoing police activity.

Large forensics truck still on scene with cruiser on watch. Small forensics truck showed up again this morning.

Police tents now cover the entire back yard and driveway up to side door entrance way.

The Fence/gate had been removed yesterday, but now has been put in place on the driveway ahead of the side door entrance way.

Still a very active scene.

What I'm finding difficult to understand in this case, is the family tree and how everyone is related. I'm aware of who Rori's father is, and won't repeat it here, but will say that she does not share his last name, nor does she share her mother's. It's likely unimportant, but has left me confused. Even Rori's mother and her brother, Rori's uncle, don't share the same last name. I'm likely missing something.

what does IBM stand for? Intensive Bowel Movement?
I'm guessing, ush = 'kush'? or?

True... So if Rori's mother and uncle share the same mother, but different fathers, they would have different last names. I'm still at a loss as to where Rori's last name came from. Maybe it's her mother's maiden name? And she married someone else after Rori was born? Then they separated (as it's been stated she has a boyfriend) and she still holds his last name? That's the only thing I can think of.

Like I said, it's unimportant. It's just me being curious.

I had to look this up, but I think IBM means "inbox me", and yes, ush likely means kush. As in marijuana.

There is a plumber company truck parked outside the house today. I'm wondering if maybe they are there to REMOVE the existing pipes etc so that forensics can slit them open along one side, spray them down with luminol and see if any blood glows back at them under UV lighting? That to me is the most logical way to see if there is blood evidence from anyone else in the drains that perhaps they cannot actually see evidence of.

I can't really think of any other reason why the plumbers would be there today, can you?

That is one reason. Another reason might be because police have torn up the plumbing and someone needs to put it back together.

Walked by over lunch today. Forensics took a small chest freezer from the house and loaded it into one of the Forensics trucks and took it away.

Wonder if that belonged to AS or if it was one that LE brought in themselves to better preserve (potential?) evidence? Can you tell us about the size and shape? Eg: deep rectangular or small square?

RPS33,

Thanks for the update.

I can't imagine what RH's family is going through.
Each additional day of search, as items are removed from the home.
It must be insufferable.

Are there a lot of surveillance cameras at the parking garage?
in the area?

Just jumping off that idea - I can't imagine that the police would be allowed (by the Crown Attorney) to have plumbers (citizens) enter a crime scene to replace plumbing until they were 100% done and ready to release the scene back to the homeowner. Their warrant has several more days on it (I can't remember how many, but they were recently given thirty days). The risks of doing so would be enormous - possible contamination of the scene by the civilian plumbers, comes to mind!

Would they be allowed to bring in the plumbers as experts on where pipes are in the ground (eg: where to dig?) would they not have their own experts to do that sort of consult? Maybe they used the plumber to drop a camera down into the pipes for better visuals?

The freezer was smallish and rectangular. My best guess would be to put it around 7.0 cubic feet
